Quote:Doug Rhoads, the ACC's coordinator of officials, said in a statement Sunday: "The center judge's positioning, which was due to the experimental year of having an eighth official, combined with the late substitution and by rule the need to allow the defense to matchup, led to contact between himself and the player. The official believed the contact was incidental and insignificant and did not rise to the level of unsportsmanlike conduct and automatic disqualification."

I'm amazed at how outraged gator fans and Jameis haters never mention the fact that the ref, who is the one who got push, felt this way.  Again, if they threw the flag than I would understand why.  What I don't understand is the selective outrage.

If I pushed you the way Jameis pushed that ref.....would you feel that was incidental?

Quote:A play during the speed of the game and pushing an official are the same thing, right?

A flag could have been thrown and wasnt which is the point.

Again, the official believed the contact was incidental. 3 people have posted the response from the head of  ACC officiating.

Whether someone has a liberal, or conservative viewpoint, a authoritative figure should not lock a thread for the sole purpose to get the last word in all the while prohibiting someone else from being able to respond.

Quote:Eggzactly.  Calls get missed all the time.  Selective outrage I guess.  I could understand you complaining about a missed call if the Noles were playing the gators.  I don't think I've come on here complaining about a missed call in a gator game that wasn't against the Noles.

I couldn't care less about a flag, I'm just truly shocked at the level which some of you are defending the fact that he put his hands on the ref and shoved him out of the way.
What in the Wide Wide World of Sports is agoin' on here???

Again, how did he push him? You're making it out like he put everything he had into the push and shoved him on his [BLEEP].

I have no idea.  I can only tell you what the ref said.  Is he lieing?  That is how HE felt.

i will repeat what josh said, if i put my hands on you and pushed you like that, how would it make you feel?

Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."

The ref is defending him as well.  You know, the one who was pushed.  Anyways, there is no need to defend anything.  Nothing was called.  It is what it is.

And they could find the body of Chief Minnehaha or what ever your mascot is called in his closet, and yall wouldn't be able to get on here fast enough to tell us how the old guy probably deserved it!!

Shove? A little dramatic are we?

There's a pattern here.  Jameis is an idiot and FSU fans rush to his defense.

Wash, rinse, repeat.

Have you seen the video?  Did he not take his hands and push/shove the ref?
