I understand it can take a while for people to get used to the idea of calling me BJ (not BeeJay, please) and that is OK. It is outright refusal to change despite knowing why I changed it that would drive me bonkers.

 

The reason I get so worked up about this is I am afraid it will never stop if I ignore it. Why do people do stuff like this only to get a reaction from me, even though it is a bad one? Even psychologists couldn't explain that annoying behavior, so I need to ask the people who do it directly.

 

Sensing your fragile state with unapproved nicknames, I worry about your state of mind if a poster nicknames you Beejaydub.

 

I'm thinking even BJdub might be enough to send you into bonkerville.

 

But don't worry, I won't bring those possibilities up, so they won't hear them from me.

 

Maybe nobody else will even think of those and you won't even have to worry about it.
