Charlie Strong headed to the NFL? Bridgewater a package deal?

You don't think he would go to a school like Texas if the money was right. Everybody has a price.

Yes it would.  Programs like UF can be fixed overnight -- a simple coaching change to a new OC would actually do it....  and tell mushump to stay away from the offense.

USC is out west.  It's not in south carolina.

After watching him call the same running play at the goalline and not gain yardage three times in a row, I'm not so sure I could handle Charlie Strong in the NFL.
I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.

Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!

Are you confusing Charlie Strong with the OC Shawn Watson? Strong is much more of a defensive guy. He was a DC at Florida and South Carolina.

It's his team on the field right? Why didn't he use the best player on the field to score points?

A former Defensive Coordinator/HC is not going to let his OC call plays. That's how it works. As a Jaguars fan you should understand this.

Why wouldn't the Head Coach tell the OC to call a play that featured the best player on the field?

As a football coach, I don't understand that.

I don't know. Why does Gus Bradley not do the same thing?

They probably trust their OC. Or they wanted to award Dominic Brown with a TD after his 60+ yards in the first.

Are you serious, Money and going to a storied team like UF or USC almost any coach would take that, you get the pick of the litter of recruits, unlimited funds for the football team, national exposure and a shot at the BCS championship.

So many Floridians getting butthurt but I was explicitly talking about USC.  Why would he go to that trash heap when he can go to the NFL?

If the HC is not an offensive guy, the only thing he calls for offense is "go for it on 4th down" "go for 2" or "Play to score at the end of the half or not if time is low" He does not tell the OC what play to run. Now he may tell the OC, come on now let our X player win this for us give them ball.

Did I not say UF or USC since those were the team were suggestion in this thread? USC is not a train wreak they get a top recruiting class every year, even when they were on probation, USC is still a top 5 College program to be coach at, Cali has so much talent out there, your way off.

Because not every college coach is made for the NFL. For every Jimmy Johnson, Jim Harbaugh and Pete Carroll who have had successes in both collegiate and pro level, there are Greg Schiano, Nick Sagan, Lane Kitten, Steve Spurrier and soon to be Chip Kelly.

Imagine if someone like Strong goes to USC and turns their program around...
