I don't think I'd take Barr ahead of Clowney. 

 

I'd agree with this a year ago when Clowney made a helmet roll from Michigan all the way through my living room but you can't deny the talent of Anthony Barr. He has a great motor, can rush the passer as well as drop back into coverage effectively.

No disrespect to Barr....he's very good....but oh man, to pass on Clowney for Barr and then have him turn out to be what everybody thought, i,e, best DE prospect in decades....I don't think I'd like that. Seems risky.

Clowney is doubled on basically every play. Can you imagine how sick our defense would be if he drew doubles like that in NFL?

The FSU team would still be where they are right now -- undefeated -- and Teddy would still look as he is right now, one of the top prospects. As you see, it all even out. Winston plays with talent but facing better competition; likewise, Bridgewater plays with less talents, but facing lesser competition.

Thats a great question, to me they are very similar, one plays for the big program and younger other then that nobody has a clue who would turn out better.


Winston is great and all but lets hold up on the consensus number 1, he still has to play Miami's defense, Gators defense and maybe VT defense, those all will be far better defenses he has every faced in his life.


If he shreds them then I would say he yes put him over anybody in this years draft

Faster runningbacks, Bigger faster stronger wide receivers, a fast physical defense, who would't do better. Especially considering when Bridgewater plays with lesser talent

Like I said, avoid Mariota. If you think he's going to succeed in in Philadelphia, don't believe it. Chip Kellys offense isn't going to work in the NFL. He will leave the Eagles for a big program by the end of next season.

My Mariota support is taking a hit tonight.  I still think he could be good, but I'm beginning to question whether to take him at #2 if Teddy is gone.
