Wow..... I thought we were #31 ... just ahead of the Raiders.

Now I can hold my head up high when I head to Pittsburgh for Christmas knowing we're #27

It is possible when the NFL's worst division has three five-win teams and a two-win team.

First round either Pass rush or FS. Second round OT from Miami.

Do you have a free safety in mind?

I would not waste a valuable pick on a defensive lineman or linebacker when it is obvious we need to fix other positions first.

Next year the Jaguars are going to have Justin Blackmon and Robinson starting at WR with Lee and Hurns competing for the 3rd and 4th WR.   Brown is still on the practice squad.  The Jaguars might take a WR in rounds 4 or 5.

The Jaguars could take a ROT in round 1 and that would free them up to take the TE, O'Leary from Florida State, in round 2.  Otherwise, the Jaguars draft a ROT in round 2 if they don't pick up one in FA.

Conventional wisdom have the Jaguars selecting a DE/DT in round 1 and a ROT in round 2.  The Jaguars have a strong defensive line.  So I personnally do not want to use our round one selection on the DL.

Options that seem available:

1.  DE  Ray  Missouri  2.  ROT (lots to choose from)  3.  FS  Harris Virginia

1.  ROT  Scherff  Iowa  2.  TE  O'Leary Florida State  3.  C  Dismukes  Auburn

1.  FS  Landon Collins  Alabama  2. ROT  3.  OLB Eric Striker  Oklahoma

1.  RB Gurley Georgia  2  ROT  3.  FS Harris  Virginia

While everyone has their own opinion, mine is that the Jaguars should select FS Landon Collins with their round one selection and take a ROT with their second round selection.  Then the team can take a C/LOG, OLB, or TE with their 3rd selection, depending on who is still available.
