The Indianapolis Colts are a bad football team

Quote:Good points. But I'd still say the Saints Falcons and Panthers are better than the Texans or at least on par. Its hard to say when schedules arent the same.

Both divisions obviously aren't good though

I guess you could compare AFC North game performances. Not just the results, but how well they played.

There's that, also 2 NFC south teams play in Domes, does playing Cold weather teams in the North effect their performances?

I just believe if the AFC south had played the NFC North they would have lost more than they won, but that's just my opinion.

The Colts and Texans play in domes too, so what's your point?

No, they'd still win the NFCS, too.

It's painfully obvious, though, that their success has mostly been built on feasting on possibly the worst division any team has ever had to face in the history of the NFL.

The titans and Jaguars are both close to historically bad and the texans are another team that would be a 3 or 4 win team in decent divisions that didn't give them four freebies against the titans and Jaguars.

We will find out which division is worse next year when they play each other and don't have the AFC North on their schedules. We also will find out if the AFC North teams were feasting on a very easy schedule as they got the NFC South, Jaguars, and Titans this year.

It is obvious the Colts are not just winning because of us and the Titans. That is only four games. They had one of the hardest schedules last year with the NFC West and AFC West and defeated both Super Bowl teams on their way to an 11-5 record. That means they played against more winning teams than losing teams because of the division they are in. When you talk about "because of the division," you must keep this in mind: 10 games are not played against other AFC South teams and 8 of those opponents are the same for the Texans, Jaguars, and Titans. Therefore when people say "because of the division" they should be talking about games against the NFC East and AFC North, not just the Jaguars and Titans.

Quote:also this is because youre too simple minded to see that luck is beating up on bad teams. again, 1 win against playoff teams. 1 out of 15 games have been wins vs playoff teams.
They played 16 playoff teams this year? That's one hellofa schedule.

they played 15 games. 1 out of those 15 games was a win against a playoff team. do i need to simplify it more than that for you?

I doubt it, they can't run the ball, they can't stop the run, they can't rush the passer, and they can't protect the passer, their unable to control the line of scrimmage which makes them a bad football team. Drew Brees, Matt Ryan, and Cam Newton would feast on that pathetic defense, their record is inflated by 5-6 wins against the awful AFC South opponents they're blessed to play year in and out, I love Andrew Luck, but the rest of that roster is awful.

Fair points.

I base my assumption on the NFCS being on a level that might be won by the Falcons, and they're not a good team.

Maybe the colts couldn't eek out the 8 wins they'd have needed in that division, either, but I think they'd probably have been able to do it.

From Yahoo's Winners and Losers column:

" From Mike Chappell of RTV6, the Colts have allowed Romo,Tom Brady, Peyton Manning and Roethlisberger to complete 99 of 135 passes for 1,331 yards, 15 touchdowns and two interceptions this season. That’s a 133.1 rating. And the Colts are going to face some good quarterbacks in the playoffs. Maybe the Colts can win a January game or two if Luck gets really hot, but he would have to overcome a roster that’s not as good as its 10-5 record would indicate."

Interesting stat about top QBs. I knew the Colts roster was not top notch yet and needed some work, but apparently their D is a lot worse than I realized.

Yep, the colts have been getting confused about the quality of their roster and personnel acquisition due to the team's record, which is heavily inflated by playing in by far the worst division in football.

Pagano is just a guy, and Grigsen is Grade A fresh meat in the presence of the rest of the NFL GMs.

Ahh, another Hall of Fame voter telling us that "Pagano is just a guy". Thanks for that great insight, coach.

So, Pagano is just a another guy, or the roster is poor? You seem confused - how about picking one or the other.

You spend a lot of time trying to convince us that Luck isn't very good (like we don't have access to video), now you say the coach isn't very good, and yet the Colts get into the playoffs each year. Oh yeah - it's the division they're in! The same division three other teams are in.

Instead of being all defensive about Luck or Pagano or the Colts I think I'll give them some credit for knowing what they're doing and hope Bortles and the Jaguars some day reach their level of success.
