You know its bad when the guys in charge thinks Jimmy Clausen is the better option.

From an opponent fan standpoint,  I much rather face Jay Cutler because the parts have been many times greater than the sum.    Jimmy Clausen doesn't have a track record of success in the NFL.   Yet,  Clausen is an x factor because he has hardly played the last few seasons.    With Cutler,  you know what you are getting,  which is a QB that contributed greatly to a likely housecleaning in Chicago.    Even if there's only a 10 % chance that Clausen get hot for a game,   that's more than what Cutler offers at this point in time.

Cutler has been one of the most overrated players in the league since he's been in it. He's a headcase, a bad team mate, and a crybaby.

Other than that, I like him...

I'm still in disbelief that they thought it was a good idea to pay a guy with a career passer rating in the 80s as if he were Manning or Brady.

The team looked as if they quit last MNF. Cutler looked disinterested at best. Like stated above, they are in complete meltdown.

Yeah, I agree, I guess once the Bears acquired him, they kind of felt like they were stuck with him.

 Buyer's remorse for sure.

Was Cutler still in Denver when the drafted Tebow? I can't remember and really don't feel like looking it up.

I figured one of our knowledgeable posters would know.

I survived the Gus Bradley Error.

Tebow was drafted in 2010, Cutler's first year with the Bears was 2009 from what I recall.

Cutler probably needs a rah rah type of head coach, someone to keep him energized.

Exactly.  Cutler won the day his agent inked that deal.

The story isn't Cutler/Clausen.

It's that the organization is completely shot.  Bears are a mess and may get even worse before it gets better.

Clausen is the only starting QB with a history of performance worse than Gabbert, statistically.  So, it's not about "better"... it's about spite.  And that signals trouble for the entire organization in the short run.

Chicago's just bitter. They don't actually think Clausen gives them the best chance to win.
