Gerod Holliman - FS Louisville
|
Could Gerod Holliman be Our Earl Thomas?
http://espn.go.com/college-football/play...d-holliman He won the Thorpe award, he has 14 ints one he took to the house 5 of his ints went for 61, 32, 29, 38 and 65 yards, which means he gets the pick and makes yards He is a redshirt Soph so he can leave early, Earl Thomas also left as a Soph This kid is 6'1 206 lbs bigger then Thomas, I dont know how high he will go it would depend on workouts and combine, maybe in a trade back or if he was to fall to the 2nd round

nfldraftscout.com has him listed as 5'11 and 3/4". Where did you get 6'1?
Personally I would take him in the mid to late 2nd round, but I don't think he'll be there.

I would trade back into the 1st with our 2nd pick and take him cause don't think he will be there in the 2nd. Hopefully we have 2 2nd round picks from a trade back in the 1st Quote:http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000...urning-pro Didnt see you old thread but nice call Would love to end up with one of the DE's plus Holliman Then Gus can really have the defense he wants, with Colvin and McCray being the CB's

I think my problem with Holliman is that he isn't a good tackler. We kill Cyprien for missing tackles and he's twice the tackler Holliman is. Interception, to me, aren't things you can count on game to game, season to season. Just one man's opinion
If he's a beast in coverage but is lacking tackling skills that's not a huge issue for a FS. Our LBs and SS should be the ones enforcing that and wrapping people up.
I haven't watched him enough to say his tackling sucks and can't improve. He's young and will likely not be asked to do as much as he's doing now if he came to Jacksonville.
Holliman doesn't know how to tackle that's the only problem
