We cut Lewis and Restructure Poz contract

 

We pick up Bulaga or Barksdale to solidify the RT positon

 

We pick up Clay, Thomas, or Cameron to hold down the TE position

 

We pick up Orlando Franklin who can bring solid depth to the oline and can play G and T

 

We resign Ball, Pasztor, Davis, and JT Thomas to fair deals for both sides

 

And sign a few low to mid range free agents like Dave usually does.

 

 

Trade down with Rams for pick 10 and their 2nd round pick.  They pick Cooper or Winston

I like it, but I gotta say I think I'd want to go another way with our first pick.  I see Shaq as someone like Telvin that plays weakside LB.


It depends who is in front of us.  I'm not opposed to taking Maxx Williams there.  I'm assuming Schreff and Stanley are gone, which would be good picks if we traded back.


Maybe Flowers or Fowler (LEO).

 

Overall solid job though.  I like the FA pickups and the overall draft, particularly the 2nd and 3rd round picks.

Our DL is mostly made up of older DL guys. They won't be around forever. Get a long term fix at DT with an elite rusher inside and out.

He is a really good athlete.  If he can play the OTTO, I'd love to have him, I'm just not sure he can.  If he can bring that athleticism to that position, our LBs are going to be good with him and Telvin.

I was just making the comparison based on off the field issues.  I don't think I'd be willing to put that high of a pick into him.

I'm really curious how it shakes out.  I think he's just as good if not better than Mariota on the field.  He says the right things from here out and does well in the Rose Bowl and I'm sure at least one desperate team will jump at the chance to have a talented QB.
