Is Stanley even the best OT in the draft? What about Scherff? I am a little hesitant on Dave Caldwell and his scout's ability to identify OLine talent.

 

If they pick one, they BETTER PICK THE RIGHT ONE!!!!! Stanley looks like he could be soft like Joeckel and Scherff is a nasty run blocker, but not sure his pass protection is as good.

I would be more hesitant on the experts telling you Stanley or Scherff are 1st round tackles. I cant blame Caldwell on the Joekel pick. I mean every expert and everyone on this board thought fisher and Joekel where the 1 and 2 pick in that draft. so it looks like ever expert was wrong about both of them. so we are gonna listen to the same experts on the tackles or any player this year. Caldwell should draft BPA for our needs. i would trad out of 3 for more picks.

Honestly hope we actually upgrade our O-line in free agency.  We need some experience on the line.  Eventually Linder, Bowanko, and Joeckel will get more experience.  But we need someone who can come in and be experienced now to help out the line while it grows.  Then bring in a young OT once some of our current guys has 2-3 years experience behind them.

I'm not sure they're willing to give more than what I had mentioned.  They have a lot of holes so they'd be better of standing pat.

Exactly, Joeckel has all the tools that you look for in a LT, and while he hasn't played well, way too early to call him a bust. Any GM that needed a LT that year would've drafted him in the top 5.
