Randy Gregory vs Leonard Williams on ESPN now
|
Tennessee could call it quits on Mett and draft Winston (or whichever QB falls to 2). Or they could advertise to QB needy teams that others are trying to trade to their pick for a QB. Either way, it's not a given that Williams gets taken there. FWIW, I do think Tennessee takes him and sticks with Mett, but it's hard to say.

If they still take Williams, the Jags should have some pretty good trade offers from quarterback needy teams. I'd still prefer Williams as he appears to be the most "bustproof" guy in the draft who also has one of the highest upsides. Having both of those guys gone gives us free range at every other position and a lot more flexibility.
Does anybody see Leonard Williams saying he wants to play for the Raiders as a possible red flag?
Quote:Does anybody see Leonard Williams saying he wants to play for the Raiders as a possible red flag? Not really. He was born in Bakersfield and goes to USC. I think he'd be fine with Jags too since he went to high school in Florida, gets to come to a defensive minded coach on a budding defense, plus there's no income tax. Pretty sure the Raiders were poised to have the #1 pick at the time he made that comment as well.
Anybody with a set of eyes can see that Winston of FSU is far and away the more NFL ready QB than the Oregon QB. The problem is that Winston has a bit of entitlement in him and how do you think that got there? Ever since last year, when he took college football by storm every Talking Head in the known universe has been telling him he is the Greatest College Football Player currently playing and that he is a sure fire Top NFL Draft pick. We all forget that this guy is still a kid and sometimes kids get caught with their hands in the cookie jar. And as far as women, you don't think Winston has been marked as a FREE MONEY to cash in on?
When it is all said and done, I think Tampa takes Winston and then the Titans will take Mariota and the Jags will take Leonard Williams. Don't believe even half the LIES that the media tell the public because in this world, everyone has an agenda, and knocking down heroes is what the media thinks is their job, when they should just be reporting the truth.
Of course we are all believing the story that Williams is the top DT available.
Is he ? Looks like there are other names in the frame though... http://m.bleacherreport.com/articles/230...ve-tackles
First person I've seen with Shelton higher. Shelton is a nice player but I think he is more of a one technique. Williams is more versatile and a much better pass rusher.
