TE Maxx Williams, Minnesota

Seems to be very active in run blocking too, really an all around TE. I would be surprised if he falls to the 2nd round.

I can see him going at 19 to Cleveland if they let Cameron walk. Their focus is going to be on offense. Grabbing a WR with their 12th pick (Parker maybe) and Williams with their 19th pick would help quite a bit with whichever QB is back there.
GB taking him would make sense too. They may lose Cobb and they have a void at TE.
man you were right on, OP
i watched dude play yesterday....was very impressed your new name is Marvelous Markulous Quote:man you were right on, OP ![]()
According to Joe Chrstensen on Twitter, Williams will declare: https://twitter.com/JoeCStrib/status/551090922801209344
I'm curious where he goes. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

Apparently the Draft Advisory Board did not give Max Williams a 1st or 2nd Rd grade.
Interesting. I think the Jags may seriously think about taking him in Rd 2.
I'd like to have him. He's got the name, the hands, and at a position of need. What's not to like?
Quote:Apparently the Draft Advisory Board did not give Max Williams a 1st or 2nd Rd grade. Very interesting ! Of course, his value may get inflated because of the lack of good TEs in this draft... Another highly thought of TE out of Penn State declared today

If he retires that frees up a lot of cap space and at that point they are going to be hunting for QB and will have a bit more cap space.
Quote:Another highly thought of TE out of Penn State declared today Nice! He was a guy I liked all year. Would love to get him or Maxx in the 2nd.
Let's get both Jesse James and Maxx Williams lol. We would definitely have a bolstered tight end group. Double tight end sets with Lee and Hurns on the outside. I would put Robinson on the outside but he is a possession receiver.
This kid isn't getting out of round one

Well, all we can hope now is that the Browns give us both their 1st round picks to move up to 3 and then we can use one of their picks on Williams.
I wish we could get him but I just don't see how we can unless we do a huge trade back to the teens, which is pretty unlikely. I don't see how he's there with our 2nd round pick. Gifted pass-catchers just don't fall that far.
Quote:This kid isn't getting out of round one That's a given. The teams picking at the bottom of the round could all use an upgrade at TE. I'm willing to bet one of the playoff teams trades up to get him. (I'm looking at you Seahawks)
