Trade up for Melvin Gordon?
|
If Gordon is still available towards the bottom of the first round I hope they go up and get him. This guy is an absolute beast!!

Um.......................................................................no

Nope. He might be available in the late second. If so pull the trigger or just take who ever is available at the beginning of the third.

That guy is likely to not even make into the back half of the first round. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Quote:I bet if he was an SEC guy you all would be all over it.... I don't think that has anything to do with anyone's response in this thread. The RB positon is not as valued as it used to be. The days of first round RBs are over.

He is a beast but given the O-line issues losing mid round picks (2nd-4th are) which are normally used on good lineman to trade up for a RB who will have no line to run behind doesnt seem smart.
How about trade back gather an extra late round pick and take a RB with the traded back 2nd. Id rather Bortles not take 60+ sacks a season just to have a good RB.
I don't like it. I really don't want to give up premium draft picks, especially not for a RB.

There is no reason to trade up from #36. Remember when everyone said Marqise Lee was going to be a first round pick? David Caldwell didn't care. His decision to hope Lee fell to our second round pick paid off.

Quote:He won't last until the late second round. Keyword: late. That means he will be available at #36 if we want him. But why would anybody want him? We need to pick a free safety and right tackle before another running back. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Haven't seen a mock draft by the "experts" yet that doesn't have him going in the first round. If he turns out to be an all pro I wouldn't mind us giving up a third round pick. -Could be like getting a Demarco Murray like player or a Dwayne Gratz....you choose. We need game changers on this team. That kid averaged over 7 yards a carry all season. Our RB's have yet to prove they can carry the load. As far as our O-line goes. Address that in FA. We do not need anymore youth on the line. Get a FA RT and someone to compete with Beadles. Give the young guys in offseason to get stronger and we should see a better group next season.
Very good player but not worth trading up into the first round for, especially for this team. We still have too many holes to fill like LB, TE, FS, LEO, and that's not even getting into depth on the OL, CB and WR.
I'm not against taking a RB at the top of the 2nd, but as deep as this RB class is, there's nobody I'd trade up for into the first round. We'll have someone like Duke Johnson or Tevin Coleman fall to us in the 2nd. |
