Dante Fowler Jr.

For the Jags, I just want a DE who can be productive enough long-term and the organization can confidently start throwing money at. Like Sen'Derrick at DT. Don't care what school he comes from

If we trade back to the 10-12 range or so then absolutely, but I would be upset with him at 3 or if he was taken with Ray on the board still.

And I think that is where he ends up. in the 8-14 range. I like the Kerrigan comp earlier in this thread. I think Cam Jordan would also be a comp. More than solid but not elite.

Do you think anybody would want to trade up that much? Teams in the 10-15 range are more likely to trade with the Jets or Redskins. We show less advertisements to registered users. Fowler is a player that seems to love playing Football.
Dave & Gus want players that love to play Football. Seems like it could work. If only there was a way to match his value with our draft position.
Quote:Fowler is a player that seems to love playing Football. We obviously don't need a defensive end, so it doesn't matter.

Quote:We obviously don't need a defensive end, so it doesn't matter. So you don't want to plan for the future which could be very near for when we will need a DE and miss out on a draft with a strong pool of them? Also Fowler has been ranked as an OLB. So if you are telling me we are set at LB as well, you can go back to rooting for your colts or whatever team it is today.
He's almost literally a LEO. He played the Buck position for Muschamp at UF. Which is DE/OLB hybrid
Quote:He's almost literally a LEO. He played the Buck position for Muschamp at UF. Which is DE/OLB hybrid I haven't done my due on Fowler yet but if he rushes standing up and occasionally drops into coverage, he could be a OTTO target.
Quote:We obviously don't need a defensive end, so it doesn't matter. When you watch football, do you feel like you understand what you see? Or is it more about the movement and the colors for you? Kinda like staring at something shiny for 3 and half hours. We need a DE. Obviously. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Quote:I don't want no DEs from the Florida Gators. In other words you do want defensive ends from the Florida Gators.

Now we are in the process of upgrading most positions, which means continuing to draft for need in all seven rounds. After the rebuild is complete, we can start worrying about defensive line depth.

Quote:Why does the name Derrick Harvey come to mind when thinking of Fowler? It doesn't. Derrick Harvey was just a lineman, not a Leo. Quote:Hahhaha, she kind of got him on this one. I am the board's grammar queen. In English, 2 negatives = 1 positive. If you don't want any Gators defensive ends, you say, "I don't want any Gators defensive ends." Quote:I am the board's grammar queen. In English, 2 negatives = 1 positive. If you don't want any Gators defensive ends, you say, "I don't want any Gators defensive ends." Except you are thinking about double negatives. If the words are separated, it is allowed. However, it would still by bad grammar in this case. It should have said any, not no. But no is used for any in certain areas of the country.
