Bills basically have same makeup of his Jets teams. Great defense, a group of solid running backs and no quarterback. The rumor has been that Trestman would be his OC if he got a head gig. Not sure what anybody could do with Manuel. And not a ton of veterans available.

... and with him Marc Trestman as his OC.

I have always thought that Ryan was a good coach.  He was really able to over achieve with some of his rosters.  I don't know if he will be able to replicate his early success with the Jets with the Bills, but it should be interesting to watch.  I think his personality has distracted from his ability at times.

From one team with no QB to another. The Bills do however have a great D. Still think this is a poor hire. Not to mention, the don't even have a 1st round pick.

Garnered yours. Don't worry the big bad Rexy wont come get you.

On the subject so not to be trollin, Rex wont have to move to far. He will struggle with that talent pool.

A lateral move for an OC from a team with a QB to a team without a QB is quite peculiar. I wonder if Roman failed in all of his HC interviews, or if he is just not that bright.

Good move by the Bills, actually.  Rex Ryan is one guy who knows how to deal with the Patriots.

I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

Wonder how much weight that played in the hire. Good point.

Just surprised he didn't have to prove himself as a DC a couple years before getting another HC shot.

Does seem strange that he's still in the same division

If Rex Ryan becomes the Bills HC,    there's a good chance that Rex will want his own Defensive Coordinator.  Which will mean the Redskins and / or teams will be able to pursue Jim Schwartz for that role.    The Bills previously denied the Redskins permission to interview Schwartz.

Heard Rex wants to keep him while also hearing Rex plans to bring his defensive staff from the jets with Thurmond as dc

It honestly didn't grab my attention just was wondering how people would react. Besides that nonsense by me I'm intrigued with what Rex can do with a defense with such talent where he won't have to scheme as much. But again, another team with a questionable QB. Makes me wonder what the Falcons said or was the talent on the bills defense with quality running backs to do his ground and pound thing the key. Would explain the Roman preference
