The question will remain for now does he get the MVP for later is he truly better than Tom Brady (when he is viewed as choking in the post season)?

Quote:And way too much wallet padding as well.  It is a long long season and you could see how someone that is older just doesn't hold up like they did even 5 years ago.  This game does chew you up and ground you down.  I would expect the philosophy next year is to find any way possible to "rest" him during the season and take out some of the grind.

I bet the league will find a way to force a favorable schedule to assist with his farewell tour.

I would be very suspicious if Peyton's out of conference schedule included The tacks, Redskins,Jets. Browns, Bears, Bucs, Rams, Giants, Vikings and Jags.

I think he just might be done, now that Fox is gone. We'll see, maybe he wants one more shot as a 39 yr old, but I just don't see another SB ring for P Manning.

He will just have to live with 1 less ring then brother Eli.

I survived the Gus Bradley Error.

He'll win one or two as an OC in the future I'm sure. He has huge coaching career in front of him if he wants it. The guy is probably the best offensive mind out there. Imagine him mentoring/coaching Bortles.....

No one with a set of eyes thinks that Peyton was better than Rodgers this year or better than Brady over their respective careers.

The thing about Manning is that you have to view him from the perspective of "Can he make it through a 19 or even 20 game season?" \

If he is on your roster, you are making a hard push for an immediate Super Bowl run. I feel like that's an obvious statement. So now you can't just think that he can play a regular schedule, but can his body hold up through the Playoffs as well? The only person who can really answer that is Manning himself, but from my viewpoint I don't think he can.

I think he's done.

I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.

Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!

Quote:He still had a pretty good deep ball and some zip on his passes.
They play calling was just very Fisch-esque. Screen after screen after screen and couldn't get timing down with Sanders. He still had over 40tds and almost 5000 yards this season. He plays again, barring a compete roster blow up.
Did you see that fourth quarter? No he doesn't. Its the second postseason in a row were he looked gased and wildly inaccurate in the 4th. His arm strength is why he is losing, he doesn't have enough to put touch on the deep balls anymore.  I think that he won't come back for a new coaching staff. Elway just hit the blow-up button, he knows the window has closed on Payton.

Yes, it's improvement, but it's Blaine Gabbert 2012 level improvement. - Pirkster
