Right tackles

Quote:I want Bryan Bulaga too. But even if we do get him in FA, David Caldwell would be smart to scout tackles for somebody who has more upside than Austin Pasztor.
I would really like if this happened. But if we do land Bulaga, I wouldn't want to spend a pick in the top three rounds on a position that they presumed filled on a high price FA. With needs at LB, TE, RB, FS, maybe DE, man the list goes on, I'd rather look at a right tackle later in the draft.

I don't recall saying we should pick a right tackle in the first three rounds after signing Bulaga.

Quote:I like Daryl Williams - ORT - Oklahoma in Rd 3

I like Denzel Perryman - ILB - Miami in Rd 2

I like Leonard Williams - DE - USC in Rd 1.
It appears that Williams has fallen from the middle of round 2 to round 3.  That makes it much less important that the Jags sign a ORT in round 1 or 2.  Williams is definitely an option for the Jaguars at ORT.

In terms of the PPF standings the Jaguars ORT are ranked fairly close together about 75% from the top.  None of them are at the bottom.  Our OLT is actually rated slightly lower than our ORT with our C and OLG rated near the middle and the ORG rated as 9th best.  I think most expect OLT and C will become better for the next year.  The question is what does the coaching and scouting staffs think about the growth of our OL for next year?

If LT and C improve like you say, the G's play at a similar level, that leaves RT as the top need. If it all works out, the group will be much improved with only one change needed.

TJ Clemmings is the only one I know of. I think he could be there in round 2 but he might move up.

With Stanley out, I don't see this guy falling out of the first round.  This class is fairly weak as far as O-lineman.  I'd bet quite a few dollars he doesn't fall past Carolina.

I wonder if some of the players we are talking about will rule themselves out because they don't fit the archetype of a zone blocker... Assuming we stick with Zone Blocking as a system when the new OC is finally appointed, we will probably be looking at agile players rather than the big juggernauts.

Looking at the OLine in general, (ie guards as well as tackles) players like Jake Fisher, Jarvis Harrison and (maybe) Cedric Ogbuehi might be where we look in the later rounds rather than some of the hulks like Daryl Williams or Corey Robinson ?
