My guess is, based on that tweet, is that he declares for draft or that he's transferring. I bet he follows the $$$

I think he's chasing the money. Transferring takes him out of the public eye (either by having him sit out a year or go to a lower level of competition), and staying at OSU would probably make him the second QB, assuming that one of the guys in front of him transfers. Someone's going to take a chance in the middle rounds.

 

It begs the question: did the 2014 OSU Buckeyes have the most talented QB depth chart...ever?

I'd say yes.

 

To be honest, I don't think they win the Bama game without Jones and his powerful running ability. Barrett doesn't pick up some of those big third downs that Jones did.

I'm perfectly fine with him declaring. I would, too, if I were him.


Why waste another year playing in a college gimmick offense where he might not even be a starter, or transfer and have to wait another year for him to be eligible to play?


The only option that makes sense is for him to declare.

I'm curious where he goes now that he's probably declaring.  He shouldn't go too high.  If this was 2011 then he'd go in the first but most teams know better.  There's always that one though *cough*EJ Manual*cough*.

I think he did it for a purpose. He grew up in east Cleveland, one of the most impoverished areas in the country. I personally think he did this at his school to make a greater point, that getting an education is what is life changing. In my opinion a strong point being made in his home neighborhood.
