He did good things with josh freeman too. He did pretty poorly with joey Harrington though....
Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."
I liked the idea of Olson coming in as QB Coach. He's unproven as an OC though.

Quote:I liked the idea of Olson coming in as QB Coach. He's unproven as an OC though.Which is why i am very skeptical if this comes true. How come we always do this in JAX? Our best season ever in 1999, didnt we have Dom Capers as DC? I forget who the OC was..... Gilbride? 2 established names.
Quote:Curious as to where this leaves Gase. Atlanta? Quote:Atlanta?Shanahan is in Atlanta. Maybe Gase goes to take that awful Cleveland job. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Known entity that they trust be part of Bortles' development.
He's gotten decent to very good production out of QBs with equal or less upside than Bortles at different stops in his career - (St. Louis/Bulger,Tampa/Freeman, Oakland/Carr/Pryor) - and he has plenty of experience calling plays in the NFL. I'm good with it on the surface. We'll see….
anyone with twitter goto Jags twitter feed and ask they are taking questions now still no officle tweet from anyone.
No confirmation from anyone else yet? Maybe he was mistaken... I hope so
IT WAS ALWAYS THE JAGS

I think Gus probably liked what Olson did with David Carr and wants the same to be done with Blake.

I think anyone will be better than Fisch. As long as Olson has a clear-cut scheme and lets Blake run outside the pocket and be Blake, than Im ok with the hire.
We're on our way now. One of the most overhyped narratives in Jags history. All over a damn oc. Print up those playoff tickets though.
Bortles expressed a preference for keeping Scelfo as his QB coach.
I wonder if naming Olson as OC is them accommodating Bortles on this request....if Olson is, in fact, the new OC. Worst to 1st. Curse Reversed!

Wow, the one person we interviewed who I didn't want. Well I've been wrong before.
