Jags Hire Greg Olson as OC

Quote:It is odd, either La Canfora got a fantastic scoop or something else is going on. Good analogy. While my gut feeling says Jason LaCanfora is correct, it's nothing more than a gut feeling. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

I survived the Gus Bradley Error.
Quote: It's fair to say, at least for this year that the careers of Super Bowl 48 Assistant Coaches Adam Gase and Dan Quinn have gone in noticeably different directions. Certainly, it helps that everyone is trying to emulate that fantastic Seattle defense, I'm assuming Dan Quinn comes off as a bit more genuine than Adam Gase, just my opinion. Quote:Plenty of teams are unsure about Gase because everything he's done has been with Manning who was already a HoFer. If his stock was so high the Ravens would have hired him over Triestman. Wrong. The ravens didn't want to hire an OC for one stinkin' year. If Gase would've gotten that job, He would've been out the next year and into a HC position. Trestman is a solid choice that likely won't ever become another HC again considering how bad he managed the bears. Sure, Manning did help Gase but that doesn't mean Gase isn't good in his own right.
Can't wait to see whats next.

Quote:I am 100% sure and willing to bet $50 Gase will not accept a lower position than OC/HC this year. I honestly don't think it wise for Gase' career path to enter Jax. All he needs is to land with a team that can get him one good year and he'll be a HC next season. (No, Bradley will not be fired this next season, The team will be much improved) I'm skeptical. Gase' stock will never be higher than it is coming off of two years of riding on Peyton Manning's coattails. Which jobs are going to offer Gasse a chance to work with a Top 10 QB, much less another lock first ballot HOFer? His choices now are basically narrowed to Oakland, Browns, Jags and Chicago.
Quote:So he's a bad interviewee. Explains why he's missed out on multiple job openings this offseason. That would explain the wait on Gase so far.

Better yet, why didn't the Broncos just hire Gase as their HC when they've had the opportunity to watch him day in and day out as a WR coach, QB coach and coordinator? One of the reasons why I believe the Falcons brass is very impressed with Dan Quinn is he displayed being genuine when interviewed by them. To the point that they are apparently willing to wait until after the Super Bowl to hire him. Quote:Better yet, why didn't the Broncos just hire Gase as their HC when they've had the opportunity to watch him day in and day out? Good question. Another question that we probably will never know the answer to is would John Elway have hired Adam Gase as HC if Gary Kubiak decided to stay in Baltimore?

His report may turn out to be true eventually but this is one (of many examples) where JLC jumped the gun, the guy is such a hack.
On Greg Olsen, although it isn't saying much Gabbert actually looked OK at times when he was QB coach. Certainly better than under anyone else.
This is a great way to kill time on a Tuesday in January

Quote:Good question. And since John Fox worked with Gase in Denver, shouldn't he have offered Gase the OC job in Chicago 5 minutes after he took the job? Quote:I'm skeptical. Well crap....Jags might actually be Gase' best shot...
