2015 Mock Drafts

Josh Shaw is not at this time a Top 100 pick which means that he probably is drafted somewhere in the range of late Rd 4 to mid Rd 5. He is a tall press CB and for those who care a former Gator that transferred to USC.

He looked good at the E/W shrine. I would love to add him early in the 5th round.

Quote:I think that would be a terrible trade for the jags. Just my 2 cents. I think trading down is fine and all, but we really need an impact player at the top of round 1 for a change and flowers just isn't that guy IMO.

I think a trade down with the Jets would be more likely. Move down 3 spots and add maybe a 2nd and 4th round pick in the process. Still would have a shot at either Fowler or Gregory. Maybe it work out like this..

1) Buccaneers - Jameis Winston QB, Florida State

2) Titans - Leonard Williams DT, USC

3) Jets - Marcus Mariota QB, Oregon

4) Raiders - Randy Gregory OLB, Nebraska

5) Redskins - Brandon Scherff OG/OT, Iowa

6) Jaguars - Dante Fowler LEO, Florida

That would actually set us up nicely.

I wouldn't want mike wallace anywhere near this team, Housler is unnecessary, and ingram is a maybe. Id rather try for bulaga than waste money on them.

Just not sure that Brian Bulaga will make it to Free Agency and if he does there will be a bidding war for his services.

If Green Bay does not re-sign him and I can not see why they would not, then I am sure the Jags will be aggressive in signing him.

He clearly would be the Jags No. 1 Target in Free Agency, IF he makes it to the open market.

Much like Dave Caldwell does not count on Justin Blackmon being available next season, I am not counting on Bulaga being available in Free Agency.

The Free Agents I have listed are those that I believe will be available.

Regarding Olineman, there is always a premium on them in the league. So a team either drafts one in the top 3 rounds or you look elsewhere.

I like Jarvis Harrison in Rd 4 but other than him, all the good ones that can start will be taken in Rds 1, 2 and 3.

This is why I have taken Daryl Williams in Rd 3.

I am open to suggestions for Olineman draft choices?

I see the Jags concentrating on LBs and S in this draft and my mock reflects that belief.

Stigma,

We are beginning to get some depth on our roster. This is a fine lineup of picks but will they all make the team? I say we go for quality and fewer picks. I believe Walford is moving up in the draft.

I know we are just passing the time though and the list looks good.

When asked by the media how much turnover the public might expect in the roster during the offseason, Gus replied that he expected a turnover of around 15 players, which is exactly how many players are represented above.

The current roster is deplete of talent and the record shows as much.

I agree Walford is moving up draft boards, but it is from outside the Top 100 (say mid Rd 4) to the top of Rd 3 or Top 75.

The Senior Bowl stopped being a showcase for top tier talent and has become a showcase of mid-tier talent.

Nice, but I think the Redskins take Gregory to replace Orakapo, and we take Shane Ray in that scenario.

JPP at $15 mil/yr??  What??  $6 mil/yr for Charles Clay??  LOL

Why would you draft Scherff in the 1st when you picked up RT Bulaga in Free Agency?  Isn't Scherff projected at RT?  You have him listed as OLG, but we just brought in Zane Beadles on a big contract last year to play LG.  Confused...

Leonard Williams is drafted we will trade back. Someone will want to come up for Cooper or a QB.

I'm saying we trade 1:3 for 1:10 and 2:10 from Rams.

Picks would be

1:10 - Benardrick McKinley MLB MS ST Poz Cut

2:3 - Todd Gurley RB UGA Value at need postion

2:10 -Cody Pruitt FS MISS hard hitter, playmaker

3 - Paul Dawson OLB TCU Best OLB In draft IMO

4 - Clive Walford TE Miami SR Bowl Standout

5 - Rob Havenstein OT WIS 6-8 332 SR Bowl

6. DeShazor Everett CB TAMU monster drop

7. Lynden Trail DE Norfolk St 6-6 262 DE from UF

I think this would be a great year to acquire more picks. Leonard Williams isn't worth 3 defensive guys IMO. He's a solid DT/DE for this scheme. Wouldn't be mad with him at 3 but Remember this... If Gurley didn't get hurt he's our pick at 3. If we can snag that talent in round 2-3... Wow. Especially a position of need.

31,

I would be very surprised if Paul Dawson makes it out of Rd 2 and I am pretty sure that Clive Walford will be selected before the 4th Rd.

Some teams will make some head scratching picks like a punter in round 3. Some guys may fall but yea I tend to agree Stigma.
