Miami TE

What are yalls thoughts on the jags drafting him?

He's been tearing it up in mobile and has gotten alot of praise from scouts, our coaches and the media.

He's made a lot of money this week, if he performs well in the actual game he's a candidate to go in the second round. I expect the Jags to address the TE position in FA however.

I'm all for it.

I'd be ecstatic if the Jags came away from the draft with either him, Maxx Williams, or Jesse James.

<p style="color:rgb(54,54,54);font-family:Georgia, serif;font-size:16px;">Jaguars TE coach Ron Middleton is losing his mind over TE Clive Walford. Every time Walford runs a route Middleton is yelling praise.

I expect them to address it in free agency as well. But could see them drafting one too. The team needs weapons.

I'd take him in the 3rd but its looking like he is going 2nd, some have said late 1st. Maybe Caldwell trades back and picks up another mid/late 2nd.. Hopefully

Looks like we'll draft him or Maxx in the 2nd.

Rising stock could easily make him a good value at #36 if he also impresses NFL scouts at the combine and Miami pro day.

However, I have not seen a mock draft that has a tight end going in the first round. Bucky Brooks ranked Devin Funchess, Nick O'Leary, and Maxx Williams higher than Clive Warford.

maybe theyre just being very clever and inflating warfords stock to make maxx williams drop?

but in all reality, i would expect clive to be a round 2 pick at this point. if the jaguars stand at 3 and take williams, i dont see TE being the second round pick.

i would anticipate OL or a more premium position there.

if the jaguars get some extra second round picks, i could definitely see it.

I like him a lot. He can join Linder, Henderson, and Hurns as Miami alumni that do better in the NFL than in college.

I doubt we go OL in the 2nd, we should go RT in FA for a proven vet, we have enough young guys on the OL and this draft OL is not real strong at the top, other positions will go before them pushing a lot of decent guys back to the mid rounds

OL we can add in 4th -7th

none of that really makes sense besides possibly adding a FA

I don't care if a player is from Miami. We don't have Jedd Fisch anymore.

How do you know Brandon Linder and Allen Hurns are better than they were in college after only one season? They still have room to improve.

Could be because they played better this year than they ever did in college.

What if Maxx Williams is there at #36?
