So I feel like crap cause I have occasionaly said some stuff I probably wouldn't have said had I known you have AS, so i apologize... It actually makes alot of sense on some levels because i wondered if you just didn't understand sarcasm or facetious comments... Though, if you are just trolling, that's pretty messed up.

 

The sarcasm issue is caused by an inability to understand when a word or sentence should not be interpreted literally - the same problem that caused me to decline a "suggestion" at work. It is also why I make inappropriate comments sometimes. I think of a word's literal meaning and don't see how it can mean something else to another person, which causes me to sound bad when I am trying to be nice. That is a very common symptom for people with AS. Now you know to never make that mistake again.

Sort of. Some people are affected more severely than others. However, AS is on the same scale as what people call "full-blown autism" (like the Rain Man character), so different diagnoses are given to people with different degrees of malfunction.

You know, for somebody claiming to have AS (who now claims to just be on the spectrum as of the last hour), you sure seem pretty desperate to continue to convince people that you're autistic and that they should feel sorry for you. You've had 2 different posters wives who have Master's Degrees in both Special Ed and Psychology say that there's no way that you have autism. And you've had another poster who has a son with autism and said that there's no way that you have it. And you still have not responded to Achilles offer to take you to a Jaguars/Gators game, or to the poster's wives. I don't believe anything that you say anymore...

I'm not defending anyone... people with no experience in the field diagnosing a condition by posts on an internet message board carry no weight...The poster was  diagnosed by a REAL DR with years of experience in the field...No disrespect intended to those up and coming in the field...

It does not matter what somebody's wife thinks. If a psychologist with a PhD says I have it, I have it. And that is what happened.

 

Nobody has any right to judge me without knowing everything about my personal and medical history that is in any way related to being an Aspie.

 

The moderators will close this thread when I am ready to stop discussing the issue because I started it.

Now that you mention it, I remember a guy named Jaguar Jeep. He made fun of me, but was not a jerk about it. His son was at the game too.

regardless, it doesnt matter. what matters is reality. in reality j dub is specifically avoiding any and all posts that involve her meeting me.

 

i will leave it at that. i have offered to potentially pay for her and her mother to go to two gators home games for free next season.

 

if she doesnt want to take me up on that offer, then i will take it as avoidance of being proven a fraud and no internet articles or definition of professions are going to change that.
