Its funny how every time theres QB prospect at the top of the draft thats super good (Luck/ Bridgewater) and the Jaguars pose a real threat to get that player, the NFL steps i....errr I mean some other team magically just happens to have a worse year out of nowhere...

Everyone who thought the Giants are worse than the Vikings should stop thinking that now. I saw a Vikings fan wearing a bag with the team's record (1-5) on his head. The only win for Minnesota this year was against the Steelers, who could not even beat the Raiders today. I would be more worried about the Vikings than Giants because they, at 1-6, have a worse record and real quarterback problem.

I recall the 1970 Bengals making the playoffs as an 8-6 AFC Central Division winner after a 1-6 start to the season. I can't recall an 0-6 team ever making the playoffs. It's still a longshot the Giants will pull it off but they have a pulse after winning 2 straight. In reality, the Giants now have a better chance at reaching the playoffs than getting the # 1 pick. It's difficult for me to root for the Vikings but I might root for them against the Cowboys hoping that the Vikings don't get a top 2 pick in the draft. The only slight chance the Vikings have in winning on the road against the Cowboys next week is if Adrian Peterson has a monster game AND the turmoil that Dez Bryant created in Detroit carries over to their game against the Vikings. I'm thinking seriously of making the Cowboys my NFL Survivor/ Eliminator pick because of the state the Vikings are in.
I don't care if the Vikings get the #2 pick. They just can't take #1 away from us.

The Panthers play the Vikings too. They also happen to play the Giants. The Falcons don't face the Giants. And the Buccaneers face both teams twice.

In the current 16-game format, all four teams in each division play against all four teams in two other divisions - one in each conference. That is why the Jaguars, Titans, Colts, and Texans all play against the Broncos, Chargers, Chiefs, Raiders, 49ers, Cardinals, Seahawks, and Rams this year. The NFC North plays against the NFC East this season, so all four teams play against the Cowboys, Redskins, Eagles, and Giants. How do I know that? Because all four of those teams are on Minnesota's schedule, of course. So the Vikings should not play against Atlanta, the #1 seed in the NFC last year. Minnesota should play against one NFC South team - the Saints, not the Panthers, because of last year's division rankings.

I'm not positive, but don't they not count the game you played when counting Strength Of Schedule?
