If Bortles turns out to be the star that I hope he is, I don't care who the surrounding pieces are.  

 

Hell, I think last year's defense would have been plenty with a stud QB to keep the defense off the field for a while.

  QB gets you the fame while Defense wins you championships.  The QB does not have to be great but good enough.  History has shown that a great defense can get a team a ring.  Old Danny Marino or even Peyton(1 ring) can vouch.  Sign Suh, find a way to get him and Marks on the field together and shut down other teams.

There's really not a one-size fits all. But in general, a top QB trumps a top defensive player. Watt had one of the most dominant seasons ever for a defensive player and his team didn't even make the playoffs.

I seem to remember that pro athletes get income tax forms from the states where they play visiting games. I can't remember where I read it, but doesn't surprise me if it's true. If it is, then playing in California could mean being taxed at their rate AND others also taxed at the rate of the state where the game is played.

Something to think about...the Jaguars have one less home game as other teams in the NFL. Additionally, that one less home game is not only out of the state, but overseas. Not sure how playing in London would affect his taxes.
