Why would Cobb leave to Oak and Jags two team with young QBs that may or may not be great QBs, when Rodgers will throw for 4,000 and 40 td every year.

And he gave them a home town discount

<p style="color:rgb(41,47,51);font-family:'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;">Randall Cobb had 6-7 offers today, I’m told. He turned down considerably more money elsewhere to sign with the #Packers.

And rightfully so! Green Bay drafted him and he should stay.

I'm certainly not surprised in the least Randall Cobb is heading back to Green Bay.   i wish this would have turned out differently for your sake and mine.

The good news is the likelihood of Bryan Bulaga leaving Green Bay and coming to Jacksonville has increased as a result of the Randall Cobb news.
We'll have to see about that one

Yeah, it was a smart move by Cobb. Teams like the Raiders, and sadly us, may offer a little extra money, but he is still well paid playing for a title contender.

Of the 2, I prefer Bulaga, so hopefully Bulaga comes here.

Not much though but I knew they would not let him go. Most of these FA everyone wants will be signed by their team by Tuesday morning.

I thought they would since Nelson is hightly paid, and they have a couple of nice young WRs, but he did take less to stay

Agreed.  When you are proven in a system with an elite QB and top flight organization ( it pains me to say this ),  it's understandable that Randall Cobb remained in Green Bay,    Both Cobb and his agent Jimmy Sexton still had quite a payday,  even if it was somewhat less than one or more other options.

I do believe that Bryan Bulaga will be one of the Jags top priorities if he hits the open market Tuesday Afternoon.

Quote:IMO The Jags will lose out to a lot of FA'S I believe due to our team being so horrible...Top level guys can go to contenders...we will continue to get primarily B and C level guys until we get better.
Remember their is something wrong with every FA that becomes available. That's why they are available.

At this rate, we need to sell out for Suh, otherwise it looks like FA may be a strikeout.

Why? Because Cobb is gone?

Julius, McCourty, Hudson and a pass rusher would still be awesome.

Much like Free Agent 5 Technique D-Lineman were doing earlier today after Tyson Alualu re-signed with the Jaguars.

The huge obstacle against Cecil Shorts remains his health history.   My gut feeling is Cecil Shorts will be still available when the 2nd wave of Free Agency begins,  which usually is 5 to 10 days after the beginning of Free Agency.

I'm all on board the sky is falling train. It's the rule every time any player signs elsewhere.

I like Franklin over Bulaga but I agree, I prefer Bulaga > Cobb.
