I don't think he brings anything to the table. Hopefully we draft Lockett as our return specialist/slot receiver.
Respect the game.  Play with a sense of urgency.

1.)  Take care of the ball.  Win the turnover battle.

2.)  It's all about 3rd down.  Win on 3rd down to win the game.

3.) Playmakers make plays.  The only reason that you put your uniform on is to make plays. In order to EARN your paycheck, you must make plays.

Learn from the great collapse of 2023.

Ace will only make the team if he can prove himself on special teams.  Given that he has a 6.4 punt return average and Doss has a 15.3 average, I think saying that Ace has an uphill battle is a huge under-statement.

I do think Ace makes it through the pre-season.  Given that he was a 4th round pick, they'll delay the inevitable as long as they can in order to save face.

I don't know about that. The handling of Chris Smith last year (released then re-signed only because of injuries), a fifth-round pick, suggests that the current regime isn't run by Gene Smith. They won't hang onto draft picks that aren't ready and/or stink purely because a draft pick was spent on them. I think Ace survives to training camp at this point with Cobb off the table, but won't be surprised if he's an early cut.

Is this a short joke?
