Gus Bradley said last year he will not move Aaron Colvin to safety. So you can forget about that.

We will get a quick fix at tight end in less than 48 hours if all reports are accurate.

Don't tell that to Chip Kelly.

I have wondered about Gratz possibly as a free safety

I don't think anyone's expecting a quick fix. To think that is stupid. I think people will settle for just being competitve right now and the way to get competitve is to dump some of the trash and sign upgraded talent.

That would not be nearly as good as signing a veteran who has played free safety his entire career.

McCourty didn't play safety his entire career.

Depends on what you classify as quick fix, a lot of people think Caldwell and Bradley should be fired because we haven't made the playoffs yet.

Not looking for a quick fix, more like a jump start.

Sad we apparently lost our chance with McCourty. Bring on some RT help please!

Now that he is unavailable, it doesn't matter.

Numbers starting to come out:

Quote:Julius Thomas | DEN

(March 8, 2015 11:28 PM EDT)

The Denver Post expects the Jaguars to sign free agent Julius Thomas to a five-year contract worth "close" to $45 million.

A $9 million annual average would put Thomas significantly ahead of Rob Gronkowski's $6.9 million average, and just short of Jimmy Graham's $10 million. The Raiders are believed to have dropped out of the running for Thomas, setting their sights on Jermaine Gresham instead. Beyond Jacksonville, it's not entirely clear who's bidding on "Orange Julius" at this point.

It matters as is pertains to Gratz. Your previous statement is false.

Five years at $9 million per season isn't bad for Julius Thomas. Guarantees should be interesting, I'd guess around $25 million.
