I'm 50/50 on gipson. I mean if your sitting there at 36th pick and someone told you "you can draft this X fs and he is a proven pro bowler at the NFL level" how could u not take him. I understand the 36th pick is premium pick and you never know who might fall to you there but can't get over the fact of getting something proven to be pro bowl talent with that pick

 

and correct me if I'm wrong, but Gipson is the same age as Cecil Shorts when we drafted him. He's still very young. 36th pick + massive contract though is steep.

If he was a FA; he would be paid the same. He's not, so the trade is for the pick. We extend his contract with the higher pay. Seems normal to me.

If they really think Gipson is the answer then they have to go for him. He's the same age as some players in the draft and he could be a staple of the D for a long time.

Oh...my....God. I just looked and saw Gipson was undrafted out of Wyoming. The year after we took Prosinski. He couldn't give us a heads up?!?

 

After drafting Prosinski, the team was probably scared to even look at anyone at Wyoming.
