Quote:said it before will repeat it winning chess players are thinking 5 moves ahead all the time, Chips may have the last laugh and end up with the QB he wants at #2 or #4What did this trade do in terms of firepower to trade up? Nothing And if it's Mariota he wants... Why do they need Bradford? And what exactly does Bradford do that Foles cant? It's one of the dumbest moves I've seen in a while.
So Philly has their First and a new Fourth this year as ammo in order to move up right? I mean, I can't see a team agreeing to take that "conditional" pick from them. Is he maneuvering or is he trying to stock talent?
I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.
Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!

I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

Quote:But just how much ammo is Bradford? He's got one year left on his contract and a slew of injuries to his name. Seems pretty thin to me. Oh, I don't think he's great ammo either, I'm just saying that he's potentially ammo as well. If Chip Kelly has some sort of master plan, it'd have to either be: A. Use Bradford as ammo OR B. Use Sanchez as ammo, keep Bradford as backup.
I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

If Chip Kelly has some sort of master plan, it'd have to either be: neither of those plans make any sense. Bradford has very little value. Probably less than Foles. Sanchez? Nobody wants him. Especially not in exchange for a top 10 pick.

No. But throw in a slew of picks as well, and it might become attractive to a team like Tennessee if they're not high on Mariota, and think Sanchez can lead them to the promised land. (Which is a 7-9 year) And his contract isn't bad.
I was wrong about Trent Baalke.
Nobody is reporting it, but there are unconfirmed reports Chip Kelly was seen last week leaving the trailer home of a known meth manufacturer in Middleburg.
Only a chump boos the home team!

No. that slew of picks though would have to be multiple HIGH picks. like this year's 1st next year's 1st and 2nd and other crap... either way its a horrible way of managing a football team. the idea that Tennessee (or any other team) would somehow prefer Mark Sanchez or Sam Bradford over Mariota or Jameis Winston is pretty far-fetched.
Quote:The trade makes absolutely no sense if there's not adequate draft compensation to make it worthwhile. What's even more screwy from the Eagles perspective is they let McCoy go and now they're pursuing Murray. Chip Kelly is trying to do his darndest to show the world that Gene Smith wasn't such a lousy GM after all. He's either going to look like an absolute genius, or an arrogant buffoon. My money is on the latter. My wife's an Eagles fan (or at least she was, these decisions have made her question her loyalty to the team), and she says that some of the Eagles fans have a InChipWeTrust mentality. I'm starting to wonder if Trust is kryptonite for decision makers. "relax, he's got a 3 year plan." Apparently that plan is always NOT being good. Quote:<div></div> The slew of picks would have to be multiple HIGH picks anyway. It's also not that far fetched. Sanchez is a known quantity. Mariota isn't guaranteed success in the NFL.

This trade just doesnt seem right still... Feel like Chip has to have another plan but at the same time I feel like his plan is just to leave his mark on the NFL by being the craziest HC ever

I'm starting to wonder if Trust is kryptonite for decision makers. Sanchez is KNOWN to be NOT GOOD. Mariota at least has the potential to be REALLY GOOD. And case and point, they will need to trade away a ton of picks to get up to the top 5 to get Mariota. This trade did NOTHING to increase their chances of making that possible. They already had a veteran with (some) trade value in Foles (probably better value than Bradford). And they are giving away more picks than they got.... it makes 0 sense. And lets say a team takes that deal with the Eagles which includes basically the Eagles entire draft the next two years.... that is beyond stupid. The Eagles would be putting all their eggs in one basket which we know doesn't work. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Chip Kelly said he turned down an offer from a team to trade a first for Sam Bradford... ya ok

I was wrong about Trent Baalke.
Foles McCoy maclin gone for injury prone Bradford Ryan Matthews Alonso ..ouch

Apparently the Browns offered a 1st for Bradford.

Quote:Apparently the Browns offered a 1st for Bradford. Really hope the Browns like mariota, and if the tacks take Leonard Williams, Cleveland calls us and offers us both their firsts for #3. Maybe throw in another pick too.
