Quote:The conformity on taking this QB is startling. It's laughable to "be ok" with a game manager at the #1 overall pick. Heck I wouldn't be happy with a game manager in the first round period. If were just going to be apathetic to the situation, lets just draft the Matthews kid and give ol gabbert another year. The mentality of some is insane. I hope Caldwell does the right thing and drafts a star in Mariota or Clowney.Again, I hope he turns out to be a Rodgers, Manning, Brees, Brady, Rivers etc.... QB but I don't see that. I would be more than happy with a QB the way Russell Wilson or Alex Smith is playing right now, you can win a SB with those guys. It would be our best QB since Brunell and probably the best in franchise history. Mark wasn't all that great, he had a lot of weapons and a great team. Explain to us again how accurate Mariota is and how he NEVER overthrows there Thunderchuckles....
If that RV sales place wants Tebow in Jax bad enough to take out a billboard saying as much.....they should just HIRE him.

Quote:Explain to us again how accurate Mariota is and how he NEVER overthrows there Thunderchuckles.... I don't have to because I've never made those claims like your assuming. What I have said is that Mariota is a duel threat and has room to grow to be a great QB and has already shown a lot of the qualities that Teddy gets glorified over. However you can't make those comments on here without 5 people coming at you like grandma clampett and her pitchfork .

Mark wasn't all that great, he had a lot of weapons and a great team. Its hard to tell, Rodgers looked like nothing special out of Cal, Rivers wasn't spectacular out of NC St, Brees was alright at purdue... Can't judge pro potential of a college qb by comparing him to polished finished works of art. Every qb as flaws coming into the NFL, it is about how well they do on wiping those flaws out We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Quote:but he is far from a Luck or a Petyon prospect and both who of which played much better competition. ... and they both played with much, much better talent.

Quote:his "worst" game was against the best defense in his schedule so far (kentucky), and i expect him to continue cruising until his bowl game. hopefully he faces a better defense to showcase his talents and solidify his #1 qb billing if it wasnt obvious already. What the HELL?! As a Kentucky fan, this is downright hilarious to read.
Kentucky has football fans?
Congrats on getting Booker yesterday, was really hoping for him. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

Why would the Jaguars want a spindly QB that looks like a California Raisin on two toothpicks?

An NFL QB is built like a tank. Arm is suspect. All the throws are short to medium across the middle. Locks onto receivers all the time. Smells like a system QB taught to perform system tasks. Level of competition is also a concern. ![]()
