No. It's stupid. I don't care if the guy is a damn Hari Krishna. He is one of the most overhyped football players EVER, and that is the base issue. You're trying to tell me that all of his overzealous followers are devout Christians? Give me a break.

Quote:Teams didnt want to deal with the media circus, GMs admited it. Only if we had a qb that sucked enough to take a 1-4 team to the playoffs, beat Pitt in the playoffs and throw for 300 http://athlonsports.com/nfl/elway-and-tebow-one-final-comparison

You keep on believing that. Honestly, I didn't know Tebowners still existed. Have you been bottling all of this in for the two years that TT has been out of the league?

Quote:White was dubbed "The minister of Defense" not just for his on field accomplishments. He was actually an ordained minister. Tebow had nothing on that.

If Tebow could find a job in the league, maybe they'd give him a cool nickname like Offensive Circumcizer or something like that?

The bottom line here is that Tebow benefitted greatly from a stout defense that played out of their minds in Denver. Anyone who bothered to actually watch any of the games during his "miracle" run there will recognize that for the most part he had very little to do with their success. When your boss is a former NFL QB, and all he wants to do coming off of a playoff run is to find a way to get rid of you, that speaks volumes. Elway, a guy who knows a thing or two about playing QB, refused to commit to Tebow as his starter, and traded him when he had the first opportunity to do so just to get away from him because he saw that despite being a wonderful human being, Tebow wasn't an NFL QB.

The Jets found that out pretty quickly.

So did New England.

Now Philly has done the same.

I know the Tebow worshipers think that if he'd only come here, it would have saved this franchise AND his career. The reality is, this franchise didn't need Tebow to be saved, and his career has landed right where it should have, in the media. Had he decided on the Jags over the Jets at the time, it probably would have set this franchise back even further than it already was, and it would have fractured the fan base so severely that his very presence on this roster could have meant something very different about the long term prognosis for this team in this town. The best thing that could have happened to this franchise was Tebow shooting down a better offer from the Jags to go to NY.

Tebow is a good guy. He's someone who inspires many. However, it's not his faith that cut his career short in the NFL. It was the simple fact that he wasn't very good. Great college players don't always equate to all pro careers.

Tebow has nothing else to prove. No, he's not good enough to keep playing. However, all the haters that said he would never EVER do ANYTHING were wrong. He DID play well in the clutch many times (that's not to say it wasn't a team effort). He lead a team to a playoff victory. You were wrong. Deal with it.

If you compare it to this game, the toast had more yards passing.

So we’ll just start by telling you what Patriots quarterback Tim Tebow’s stat line was in Friday night’s preseason game: 1 completion in 7 attempts, for -1 yards, with 0 touchdowns, 1 interception and a 0.0 passer rating.

Yes, that was negative yardage. The only pass he completed was a short toss to rookie receiver Josh Boyce, who was tackled a yard behind the line of scrimmage.

I don't understand why you like a guy that really isn't a good quarterback so much. He'll be at best their third stringer. I am willing to put a lot of money on it he never signs with the Eagles.
