Is there anyone in the later rounds you guys think is suited for the position? Only one ive eyed is anthony chickillo

I only ask because of all the uncertainty brought up in the Beasely vs Erving thread.

Chickillo isn't really a LEO. I see him more as a five technique end like Odrick will be.

Shaquille Riddick from West Virginia is an interesting one

Frank Clark if teams can get over the domestic violence issue.

Davis Tull is a little undersized, but day 3 you're giving up something. He is a fantastic athlete otherwise.

I actually don't think the Jags should prioritize Leo this year. I think there are mid round diamonds in the rough every year with quick first steps and tweener frames (see Chris Smith). Also, Branch, Ryan Davis, and Chris Smith are all ascending -- perhaps one of them will break out given enough snaps. I'd love to see Fowler or Leonard Williams taken instead--those guys can be moved around like a chess piece more than a smallish edge rusher.

He played 5t at miami and it was completely out of position. His natural position is 4-3 end.

Clark really isn't a LEO in terms of athleticsim.

Sage Harold from James Madison

6'3 242, 4.65 range in the 40, apparently looked good in in drills at his pro day.

Well he certainly is not a LEO.

In terms of Chickillo, Miami made him bulk up way too much and play out of position. With that said, he is not the pass rusher we are looking for. He may be a solid rotational player once he get his body right because he does have talent but he is not a 10+ sack type of player.

Well he has the length, size and athletic ability (at least from his combine numbers) that Todd Wash says he looks for in a Leo.

Preston Smith is another guy.

The thread is title "late round LEO" not "late first round LEO"

Look no farther than Gus' alma mater... Kyle Emanuel.

I doubt Davis Tull makes it out of the third round. If he's there in four, he'd be a very solid pick.

Some other guys I like late:

Zach Hodges

Shaquille Riddick

Deion Barnes

Disclaimer: I've seen next to no tape on the three guys above, and am going strictly on scouting reports and height-weight-40 numbers for them.

Too early to put Ray here? hah

It is always too early to put Ray here. He does not have a chance of falling to Round 4.

I like Zack Hodges as LB more than a down Lineman. I just think he'd be better on his feet and out in space.

I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.

Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!

Thanks for the heads up. The late round/UDFA developmental guys really interest me.

Although I agree we have several developing LEOs on the roster (Branch, Davis, Smith), if one falls we should go after him.  If not, we should prioritize a late round OTTO.

This team was top 3 all year in getting to the QB and Odrick should only bolster that.

Defensive line room must be a fun group of guys: Clemons, Branch, Davis, Smith, Odrick, Alualu, Hood, Marks, Miller.  Linebacker group is more of  wet towel at this point.
