We can't speculate on something that is written so poorly people don't understand what it means.

The Chargers are bringing in Mariota for a private workout, and Rivers is not willing to sign an extention. Add to it Whisenhunt was his old coach.

Philip Rivers said he wants to play out the last year of his contract, then bolt as a free agent. Also, Mike Mayock said outside of Philadelphia, Marcus Mariota would just be a development project. So it would make no sense to trade up from 17, knowing they can pick Bryce Petty or Brett Hundley later in the draft to be their development project this year. Why give up their 2015 and 2016 first and second round picks for a player who will not be the BAP at #2 or an immediate upgrade over the incumbent?

I think Rivers is worth more to the Chargers than he is anyone else, tbqh, and I doubt that the Titans will make the trade unless they get very favorable terms.

The Titans trading with someone else would not surprise me.
