I am so confused.

I thought Roger Goodell was the one who changed all the rules...What is this I am reading about "competition committees" and "owners voting". I don't get it it's almost as if Roger Goodell doesn't actually change the rules...

"A bonus FG try after a successful 2 point conversion"?

Who thinks this crap up?

I agree that was just stupid. That said, I wouldn't mind seeing a rule patterned after the NFL Europe rule where FGs over 50 yards were worth 4 points. In the NFL, I'd simply make that 60 yards.

Some of the proposed rules changes are intriguing.

#21-the one that prohibits offensive players from outside where the TE was from chopping an engaged/blocked defensive player above the waist makes sense.  It would help protect the knees of DEs/OLB in particular, though in theory it could lead to more formations where TEs are lined up wide with a receiver in the slot.

Some are dumb and unnecessary=the Colts proposal and the numbers changes.

Worst to 1st.  Curse Reversed!

The Colts do, apparently.

You must be a new NFL fan. Rule changes have always been created by competition committee members and voted on by team owners. The commissioner has never been part of the rule-making process.

The Colts proposal ranks somewhere in the top 5 worst NFL game rule proposals since any of us have been alive.

I like 7, 14, and 17.

Reviewing "hit on defenseless receiver"

Longer PAT attempts

Both possession in OT

Some of the rules would be fine in addition to the current set of rules, but the majority sound like drunk speak.

Tweet from trey wingo (@wingoz) - One coach to me at NFL Owners meetings...looks like we're getting rid of extra points

I think that if I have to give you a hint that I am being sarcastic..then it defeats the purpose.
