My top 5 for the jags is different than my top 5 players. Caldwell is a needs based drafter and we need a pass rusher.

For the Jags

Fowler>Dupree>Beasley>Gregory>White


Top 5

Fowler>White>Dupree>Gurley>Beasley

Well he's widely seen as the best edge rusher. Talent wise it's probably Williams, Cooper, White, Fowler, Beasley.


I don't think Winston is one of the top 5 players in the draft, but he'll go 1, and Mariota will also be over drafted.

I can respect that, and I agree with you on Winston. Personally, I think Vic Beasley has the potential to be something between Von Miller and Demarcus Ware, and that potential alone is worth the number 3 pick. I don't think Fowler is in the same category as Beasley athletically. Beasley is the perfect LEO, a more athletic version of Chris Clemons IMO.

I don't think he's athletic enough; I think he translates to a very good run stopper and an average to above average pass rusher. Vic Beasley meanwhile, in my opinion, translates into an elite pass rusher, which is what the Jags DESPERATELY need.


3 things will turn this team around: a QB, LT, and DE. Caldwell has picked 2 out of 3, I think he agrees with me on who the third should be; Vic Beasley.

I like Beasley as well but I guess I value versatility more than you do. Fowler can make plays all over the field as well as rush the passer effectively. If Fowler was only exclusively asked to rush the passer like Beasley was at Clemson then his numbers would look different drastically.


They both fit the system perfectly I just really like how violent and versatile Fowler is compared to Beasley.
