Maybe he can hit another home run with bumble gum Gratz.

CBS Sports seems to think the Jaguars are still one of six teams "in the mix"
But I'm pretty sure this is just the media putting pieces where they fit http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/eye-on-football/25156639
THERE IS A SKELETON INSIDE OF YOU.
RIGHT NOW. THIS IS NOT A JOKE.
Quote:CBS Sports seems to think the Jaguars are still one of six teams "in the mix" For the right price I'd love to have him, but to give up a first round pick and another starter plus taking on his $15mm a year contract? They are absolutely nuts. Quote:CBS Sports seems to think the Jaguars are still one of six teams "in the mix" They are piggy backing off this article. And it's all just speculation. They don't know anything about what the Jaguars intentions are on draft day. When there is no trade involving the Jags and Minnesota when the draft ends, this will just become a forgotten footnote in their failed prognostication.
Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
Quote:Gus pretty much shoots down the Peterson ideaYep; they are being smart. No way we give up what Minnesota supposidly wants. If Peterson is traded, it won't be until into the season and he's a no show for camp/pre-season. GO JAGS!!
Let's Get Em!!!! Go Jags!

I didn't want to make a new thread for this, but Adrian Peterson is further embarrassing himself.
He's now talking about how all contracts in the NFL should be fully guaranteed. If they were fully guaranteed he wouldn't be making anywhere near what he is right now. Signing bonus's would most likely go away, but he will keep saying the absolute dumbest things to make himself more money. He doesn't care about other players. A 30 year old aging running back wants a full guaranteed contract....sure.
This trade will never happen, AP won't get paid a dime more, and he'll be playing in Minnesota this season.

He's probably looking at the NBA and even MLB in how those players are compensated. In my opinion though, the NBA is suffering mightily in that certain players far outweigh their coach in terms of clot within the organization. I honestly feel that if the NFL went to a fully guaranteed contract model for their players, the overall product would suffer. But that's just me.
I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.
Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!

The Yankees would drop him in a second if it was the NFL structure, even if he's playing like a stud. The guy is a public relations nightmare and will be until the day he is gone, but he is getting paid so much money that they have no choice. We show less advertisements to registered users. Also, look at how much clout NBA players have in removing their coaches. To me, I think that this causes stagnation in the League in regards to play because Coaches cannot implement their plans / systems unless the players agree to it. So you essentially have the inmates running the asylum. I really hope the NFL stays away from that particular model.

If anything, the NBA and MLB will soon change their contract structures to resemble the NFL, not the other way around. These team owners in other sports need to get a clue. All they have to do is lock the players out untl they agree to a CBA that resembles what the NFL is doing. The owners can hold out longer than the players ever could.
These MLB contracts like the ones ARod and Pujols have are ridiculous. Granted, the team that signed them to those contracts are foolish and they should bear the brunt of the responsibility for being on the hook for all that cash but in the end, the fans suffer when a player long past his prime is still being paid and keeping a team from fielding a competitive team because of one player's salary. Guys not performing shouldn't be paid, plain and simple. It's better for the fans and makes for a much better product. How many NBA and MLB teams are held hostage by some nirmrod making 10x the salary he should be making? It' a joke. The NFL does it the right way. If you're a stud and you're performing, you're making bank and helping your team. If not, you're gone. That's what keeps the NFL as competitive as it is. These other sports suffer because they don't have the salary structures in place that they should have. Within the next 10-15 years, look for all major sports teams to do what the NFL does. They could even grandfather in current contracts to make it easier to swallow for the players associations.
