RB in order top to end of meaningful RB:
1.Gurley 2.Gordon 3.Ajayi 4.Coleman 5.Duke Johnson 6.Abdullah 7.David Johnson 8.Cobb 9.Yeldon 10.Everybody else We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
This makes you realize if you didn't already just how deep this class is. It's kinda crazy and a good year to need a young back to develop. Yeldon becomes my pick considering he will be there in the third. A lot of size 6'1 220 good speed, best hips in the draft run low and angry and catches out of the backfield. Love him

Interesting that Tevin Coleman hasn't been to visit yet (while Ajayi, Yeldon, Gordon and Gurley all have, as has Buck Allen). Makes you wonder if he's on our radar.
I'd probably go Ajayi as the third choice, but i think Abdullah has to be close too. I like Cobb too, but he's a later round pick, not a "third best RB". Quote:I really like Ajayi, Coleman and Abdullah a lot as the next 3I think this is the exact same as me. Well, I like Ajayi and Abdullah more than Gordon, but that wasn't an option.
I am a big Abdullah fan, but I like Coleman and Ajayi to. Any of those three are fine with me at 36 if we feel so inclined

If i am smart(which i am) i would draft Kenny Hillard in the 5th or 6th round. Played like a beast for lsu.
If we decide to take a RB in the late rounds John Crockett could be a name to keep an ear out for.

if those 2 guys are gone im going ajayi around round 2, or yeldon late 3/ early 4.

For what it's worth, Wednesday ( Apr. 22 ) was the last day teams could host pre-draft visits. After the way the Jaguars low keyed their interest in Blake Bortles last year, it wouldn't surprise me in the least if they have made interest in Tevin Coleman.
doesnt it depend on where you draft them? I'd rather have David Johnson in the 3rd than Tevin Coleman in the 2nd.
I think Ajayi is my favorite back after Gordon and Gurley. But again, I think I'd rather have DJ in the 3rd than Ajayi in the 2nd. And even moreso with Ajayi's knee questions. ________________________________________________ Scouting well is all that matters. Draft philosophy is all fluff. Coleman/Abdullah. Something doesn't set right with me about Ajayi. I saw him on NFL the other day with other RB's and he seemed to have awkward footwork. I just like Coleman's and Abdullah's quick cutting ability better.

Our RB coach was at his pro day. I'm sure he got the info he needed while there.

Assuming for the sake of discussion, Coleman doesn't get taken in the top 25 picks, the teams in their current draft spots that I think would seriously consider him before pick # 36 are Dallas, Tampa Bay, and Oakland. With Dallas being the most likely of the 3 teams. |
