I think the target is RB Todd Gurley...

#21

No way they take Gurley at 3.

The pick is either Williams or Cooper. They (to me) are the only 2 elite players in this draft.

We're literally becoming more secretive than the Patriots.

When Vic was here, Gene Smith was doing the drafting as well.

There is no way in hell Caldwell is stupid enough to grab Gurley (who just had a torn ACL) or any RB at 3.

L. Bell 2nd round

F.Gore 3rd round

D. Murray 3rd round

L. McCoy 2nd round

J. Forsett 7th round

E. Lacy 2nd round

A. Foster undrafted

J. Hill 2nd round

J. Charles 3rd round

L. Miller 4th round
You can name any position in the NFL with 2nd - 7th round gems and 1st round busts, I dont know why RB is the only one getting a bad rap

Agreed.  I don't see a scenario where they take him at #3.

Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

It's obvious Gurley is our target. One team, according to the interwebs has him number one on their board, who could that be?

Also, the recent chatter linking the Jags to Cooper/Fowler is just a ploy IMO to garner interest in moving up to three after the Jags caught wind of Mariota cemented as the pick at two.

Whether or not it's the Titans or a trade partner, the tantalizing notion that a plethora of picks is off the table should be considered, thus the banter of Cooper/Fowler in an attempt to trade back and receive value.

It ought to be interesting here this evening to say the least, I hope we get Gurley.

What running back drafted in the top 10 helped a team win a SB?

It was when Harris was the GM too. It was Vic's old school mentality. Alot of fans have it too.

Some people just don't get that RBs are not as valuable as they once were.

I put that list because most of those are the most recent RBs selected in these past Drafts and who were also the best this past season.

I think RBs are important but there is no reason to draft one in the top 10 or 15.

Best RBs last year were Forte, Charles, Bell and Murray. None were in the 1st round.

I can guarantee that if we polled the 904 right now, of those people wanting Gurley with the #3 pick, probably 50% of them don't even realize he's coming off of a torn ACL.

I just heard some dude call 1010XL stating we needed to pick Gurley with the #2 pick.  Perhaps his newspaper didn't come yet this morning to get him up to speed on the latest information.

Oh, I agree with you. I just wanted to point out that Vic wasn't always wrong when he would pimp those guys.

Wonder what we could get to miss out on Williams and Cooper and drop from 3 to 8.  2nd round pick both this year and next?

Anyone expecting Gurley at 3 is going to be disappointed.

If we draft Gurley in the top 10, Caldwell's expiration date as GM is December 31, 2016.

If we sit at 3 its Williams or Cooper

If we trade down, its Gurley or Gordon/

Based on?

Depends on how far we trade down. If we trade down to 6, its either White/Cooper or a pass rusher.

If we get down into 15 or 16... It could be Gurley. Doubt its Gordon though.
