2015 Draft Twitter Thread

Quote:At least one person was asking what he thought in a different thread so I posted it.

I often times agree with TMD (I don't in this case) but the way he offers it is the issue a lot of the time.
.....and offers it and offers it and offers it......endless.

After briefly reading through all his tweets and replies on twitter...it's the same there. It's literally the same way he was here. Arguing with anyone and everyone about anything Jaguars related.

its exacerbated. he tries to start arguments with schefter and guys like that.

he swears a lot more and since there is no mod system, he can just repeat his same dumb thoughts over and over without getting a warning.

its like watching a car crash though.

Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."

Quote:Well... Im not really looking forward to playing Dorsett.
Dorsett was my pick for us at #36.  Makes me hate the Colts more.  That is like that LAST thing they needed.  I think a spy told them Cadwell wanted Dorsett at #36, and they just took him to keep him from being awesome in teal and black.

Good for us then. If we wanted a speedy deep threat receiver, Devin Smith is the better player anyways and still available.

Really?  Smith may not go until the 3rd.  If he is so much better, why did Dorsett rise so high on all the team's boards and end up in the 1st?

Not saying he wouldn't be a good pick at some point, but Dorsett seems to be the better player in the eyes of the people that do it for a living.

For the slot, I'd rather have Tyler Lockett in the 3rd, who is smaller, but faster, runs better routes and is not just a straight-line, fly pattern guy like Smith.  Catches a lot more balls and has better hands.

On Hilton:  " considered a poor man's T.Y. Hilton by some scouts, his best fit is likely as a slot receiver and day one return man on special teams."

On Smith:  "He is most effective on downfield routes and defenses must respect that, but is limited everywhere else on offense with shaky hands and a raw route tree, struggling to smoothly transition at the top of his patterns or set up his breaks."

Not sure. Both are ridiculous speed threats, but Smith was much more effective on down the field plays. Probably due to QB play, but the gap was monumental. Dorsett may have better hands but Smith is bigger. I don't think the gap between them is huge, but if we went with an over the top WR in this draft Smith would have been my guy. Being able to play slot may have been a reason as well.

I'd almost be surprised if it wasn't the Jags. Coleman is one of the most explosive players in the draft, period. This offence clearly needs a game changing player. I hope he's there at 36.

Agreed. He may not be the biggest or strongest guy but he has the ability to score from anywhere on the field. We need that on this team.

I like Coleman as well.

At 6'0" 210 almost, he has a good build with natural vision.

He likes to take on contact and fight for the extra yards. I like that in a back.

But but but... If you listen to the geniuses on our board, the cann pick means we admitted we screwed up and are getting rid of the ZBS

Lol, so far off. I'm not making assumptions. I ask questions when things don't add up to me.

Quote:I was thinking the same thing. So pointless going to that stupid zone blocking scheme anyway.

They came in, blew it all up, looking for athletic lean lineman like Bowanko, and are now doing the opposite with these power-blocking players.

They're silently admitting they messed up in year 1 and 2.
Quote:I guess the zone blocking scheme really is out (as if Doug Marrone hasn't confirmed this already).

Discuss.
Yeah.... I'm far off and you were "asking questions."

It wasn't just you

Also....

wanna bet we'll see a lot more power blocking and less zone blocking this year?

Marrone is mostly a power block guy.  He's been stressing everyone to get bigger and stronger.  That's the focus this off-season.  Put two and two together.

<p class="" style="color:rgb(41,47,51);font-family:'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;">Jacksonville had a really good draft. So did Arizona, Miami and Baltimore off the top of my head.
