2nd Round Pick 36 TJ Yeldon

Caldwell is an obvious needs drafter though.

I'm OK with Ca;dwe;; being a needs based drafter. BUT the need has to line up with value, which was the case with Fowler, who was taken at roughly the right spot. Yeldon, though, was pegged to go anywhere from low 2nd to top 4th. There were several options at #36 that would've been great value. I hope Yeldon lights it up and proves me wrong, but this is the first Caldwell pick I'm highly disappointed in. Brings me back to the draft day feeling of the Shack and Gene Smith eras.

Home run? No. But at least it made sense.

This one, I can't explain. At all. Other than Gene Smith abducting Caldwell and going "you make fun of me for going small school? Here you go, enjoy your SEC!!!"

That reasoning worked well for Toby Gerhart?

I loved watching bama play mostly cause of Yeldon. He's a very strong runner. Him and D Rob is a good tandem. I like it.

Get ready for the "when you love your guy you take him" line in the pressers...smh

Hey, Toby produced in Minnesota. Even the NFL talking heads all thought he was gonna be a beast for us. Doesn't always work out.

I've read things aboht yeldons stock rising lately. Apparently he ran much faster at his pro day and in workouts. He's been compared to LeVeon Bell In terms of versatility and completeness as a back.

Unfortunately, I believe we all think or say this every year..."I hope Dave proves us wrong."  Has he yet?

Well Caldwell loves the SEC. That's what we wanted right?

I don't like the pick but Caldwell has proven he's able to find players regardless of our opinions. I'll defer to his expertise on this selection.

I would have drafted him the 3rd round, but he is prob the most well rounded RB in the draft

UGH HATE THIS PICK.

He's like the 10th best back.

People love the pick it seems:

Completely disagree.

I would have preferred him in the late 3rd or so based off value. He is a high upside back. He was considered neck and neck with Gurley until he took a step back this year with the injuries and decline of the bama line.

Sorry, not a fan of this pick. Felt like Bama was a better team when Henry was in. Oh well. Go Yeldon!
