How many sacks do you need to see out of DFJ for a successful season?

They emphasized moving to bigger Oline guys grabbing Cann, Parnell....

They intend to use both blocking schemes... but whereas last season was a ZBS tryout, I think this year is a phase out and next year it'll be mostly gap...

All that being said.. I think every team uses a little of both.

I hope so that ZBS is for the birds, just line up and run it.

Quote:From what I understand the LEO role is about mismatches and speed anyways. If we drafted him to play a traditional DE I'd be very worried but the LEO role he should be fine.

edit:

Clearly David Caldwell drafts and acquires talent for a specific scheme. On defense it's this Seattle hybrid defense where they want mismatches creating pressure, cover corners and hard hitting safeties. I don't think Fowler was the best player in the draft, I don't think Caldwell really believes he's the best player in the draft, he is however who they viewed as the best fit for the scheme we are running.

Same thing with the offense and the zone blocking scheme, we grabbed Beadles because of his experience in the zone blocking and have drafted linemen we believe will excel at the zone blocking scheme.

I'm not sure if it's a sound strategy to me we're limiting the type of players we are going after but I'll let it run its course this year and hope for the best.
No, I think they think he is the best player in the draft, and a lot of team seem to have thought that.

Maybe he can sack his lunch while he's watching the season on Sunday afternoons.

No pain, no gain.

Maybe you can sack your computer and your cruddy comment.

BORTLES ISN'T A FRANCHISE QB. FOURNETTE WILL BE A BUST.

Fowler will be our victory dance player. Meaning when we start to kick ace he will get a sack and it will be a cry of happiness moment.

No way, with the 3rd overall I need to see something in the teens. So I will say 13.

At least double diggys

I would settle for one sack from Dante Fowler Jr. this season.

He can't get a sack because he's injured and injured players can't play and create sacks.
IT WAS ALWAYS THE JAGS

He can get into the sack because you know he has nothing else to do.
