Quote:Good news?

I guess. At least they're still weighing whether or not he needs an MRI.

We should all just run to the Wells Fargo tower and leap because clearly his career is over.

This board is loaded with drama  queens.

If it's an ACL, so be it.  If it's just a typical knee sprain, which would look very much the same as what I saw in the video, he's got plenty of time to recover before training camp.   Either way, we should panic like the world is coming to an end while we don't know anything.  That seems to be the most logical approach.

I'm having a good chuckle about the folks wanting to trade Branch because we've got this mythical log jam at LEO.  It's precisely this type of thing that can happen that suddenly clears that log jam.

Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

This is why you draft BAP. Always.

Quote:Well the fact that they didn't already order up an MRI seems like good news to me.

The team doc orders an MRI. Athletic trainers have no authority to order one.

He will see Caplan probably who will do a couple of special tests and probably order an MRI anyway.

Of course trading any player comes with the assumption that everyone is healthy going into week 1. I didn't think that would need to be spelled out...

Well, I mean, what do you expect the reaction to be? Honestly? When a hyped-up player who's expect to help the D take a big step this season - a season with legitimate hope for the first time in a while - may be out for the year? Honestly, what do you expect?

I don't know, I would hope that any such injury would warrant an MRI just to be sure you get the diagnosis right. Right?

agree with the part about trading branch.

disagree with people not being able to react poorly. the most exciting thing to happen to the team in months was getting fowler. a new leo that is supposed to change the defense for the better and provide that pass rush spark.

pretty much instantly he gets injured. it really takes the wind out of your sails. so i dont blame them.

the people that are saying never draft another gator though.... thats just dumb.

Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."

You can't be serious. If it's an ACL there isn't no dang "so be it". An ACL can affect your whole career.

Especially for a guy that is drafted solely on his burst and speed to bring pressure.
