that sounds like a really good idea. You really think Julius Thomas can be fantasy relevant on Jax??

You have faith enough to keep Bortles, but not Thomas?

I think it has more to do with having two TEs. Neither performed well at the end of the year and that really killed me last year

Keep both and trade one for a elite QB and draft bortles later in the re-draft as a solid backup.

Good call on keeping Hyde

On the other end, Gronk and Thomas, but not crazy to keep Hilton. Luck will fling it often, Manning is slowing down as evidenced at TE end of the last two seasons. Plus he lost players on offense including the line. If Brady gets 4 games that would alter my thinking on Gronk and maybe go TY and Thomas.

This is a good topic OP. I have a similar conundrum, I can only keep 2 players of these 4:

Tom Brady

Jamaal Charles

Odell Beckham Jr.

Gronkowski

The past few years had been easy, I always kept Brady and Charles. I got lucky with the Beckham pickup last year, and Gronkowski was a great surprise.

Brady's suspended. I'm leaning towards Charles and Beckham.

What would some of you guys do?

Well, definitely not the QB unless it's Luck or Rodgers in a 6pt/Passing TD league.

I'd probably go Charles and Gronk or OBJ and Gronk if you have to start 3 WRs.

We start 2 RB and 2 WR.

It's a 6pt passing TD league.

I was considering Charles and Gronk,, but not sure yet about Gronk's production without Brady.

IMO, Gronk is a must keeper especially with Julius Thomas and Jimmy Graham going to less ideal situations than last year. That positional advantage should be huge.

That's a point of view I haven't thought about yet. You're right. Thanx

Don't blame me if it backfires lol. I've been wrong enough times to know that there is sometimes more than one option.

I'm on the gronk a must keep train as well he's really in a class of his own at TE right now.

Id probably lean more toward OBJ over Charles also he's a young talent that will be hard to replace.

I say Lynch and Gronk. But if its PPR take Thomas over Gronk. Cant go wrong in either one.

Jaguars | Pacers | Purdue | Team USA

When talking about keepers, there's always one thing to keep in mind: value

Typically in keeper leagues, if you keep a player, then you give up a pick on the round that you drafted him from previous year. If that is the case, Hilton's value goes up because chances are you spent a what? Round 6-7 on a WR that produces like a Round 2-3 WR (depending on scoring)?

Gronk, I'm guessing was a value pick last season given his injury. If he was (he was going Round 4-5 in most mocks IIRC) and you didn't reach him, then similarly you are getting a top 2/3 TE for a mid round selection.

Then you have to factor in draft order. If you do keep those two players, then you lose Lynch/Thomas but you'd still have your top 2 picks. Question is, looking at the roster of other teams in the league, who do you think will be available for those two picks?

That's what you need to consider in a keeper league...assuming of course you are using standard keeper rules

I'd keep  Gronk and OBJ. Like previous posters have said Gronk is a must because of how much more he will score as opposed to #TE2. Also Brady missing 4 games wont necessarily be an awful thing, if you treat JG as a Rookie QB because of his time they love to have a big go to TE so I doubt his production would dip drastically.
