Deflate Gate - the report is in

Hmm..now Robert Kraft wants to work behind the scenes to come to an agreement, without appeals and without litigation. What kind of BS is that? If you don't want appeals, don't file them. If you don't want civil suits, don't file them. Seems like every day Kraft stamps hit foot a little louder before backing up another step.

When it comes time to man up, you either do so because you know you're right, or you start making concessions because you know you're full of it.

Quote:The one question that no one wants to answer (including Kraft) that I have is: Lol, good point. If they were as innocent as you're screaming, they should be back, right? As far as the behind the scenes deal, it could get interesting. If they NFL puffs up and refuses to drop it to say 1 or 2 games, the Patriots won't be happy. I'm sure the Patriots are coming up with information threatening the NFL that they could release if they don't get what they want.
1.) They weren't caught. If they had video of McNally deflating footballs then we wouldn't be having this conversation. They were found to have more probably than not based on refutable circumstantial evidence.
2.) With his phone in their possession, the Wells investigators interviewed McNally for a full day with 4 lawyers. They had his phone, they had the info from the game they had jastremski's phone. What the #%*@ do you need to talk to him again for? If im rober Kraft and I have a Nobel laurite telling me "Hey Bob, according to the LOG GAUGE the recorded halftime PSI is exactly what you would expect given the difference in temperature" I would be frustrated to. This is how these investigations go, I'll say it again. You bring in a bunch of high priced lawyers and keep asking people questions until they can't remember what tie they were wearing on November 19th 2013 at 6 am and then you convict not on the basis of the original charge but obstruction or perjury. They haven't proven the balls were tampered with and the chain of evidence in general is beyond juvenile given the scope grandeur and resources of the national football league. As for the suspension of the two ball boys and the behind the scenes negotiations, that's pretty simple. What's the goal right now for the PATS? to mitigate the penalties actually enforced. Its actually irrelevant if that is because of negotiations, or in the case of suspending the attendants, trying to appease the league before the ruling was handed down.
Quote:1.) They weren't caught. If they had video of McNally deflating footballs then we wouldn't be having this conversation. They were found to have more probably than not based on refutable circumstantial evidence. I know the Patriots promised their full cooperation with this investigation. Did you find that to be the case? How difficult were the Patriots and the related parties to you during this investigation? Wells: The Patriots provided me, in my opinion, with substantial cooperation except in one critical and crucial area. I wanted to do a second interview of Jim McNally. Jim McNally was the second Patriots person I interviewed. I wanted, after I had interviewed others, including Tom Brady, to do a second interview of McNally to put certain questions to him and I had also discovered after the first interview important text messages where Jim McNally not only calls himself the deflator but says he has not gone to ESPN, dot dot dot, yet. Which is akin, as far I am concerned to saying I have not gone to the media yet to report what I’m doing. And I had not found that text during the first interview, at the time of the first interview. I wanted to confront him with that. I asked for a second interview. I said I would go to New Hampshire, I would interview him in the morning, afternoon, night, I didn’t care. I would make myself available whenever he was free and not only did they say I couldn’t interview him, they said they would not even tell him about my request for an interview. So on that particular point, which was critical to this investigation, they did not cooperate and the report sets that out. Edit: The chain of evidence is juvenile to you because it doesn't fit your narrow scope of evidence. You don't want the Patriots to have cheated, so you will continue to say there's not enough evidence. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Im starting to care less and less about this. suspend him, don't suspend him... I honestly don't care anymore.
Quote:Im starting to care less and less about this. suspend him, don't suspend him... I honestly don't care anymore. I think most people feel that way at this point. Just get it over with. My big takeaway from this is that the Patriot fans are the new Steeler fans of the NFL in my book.
Since when does the party being investigated get to define the schedule and scope of the investigation? Kraft cooperated right until he knew Wells would find the smoking gun, then claimed there's no smoking gun.
It just broke on the that the Patriots will not appeal the ruling handed down by the league.

Kraft knew what time it was. He acted like a snake ready to strike for so long. When the NFL didn't balk he threw in the towel. He's full of Crap. All that fake posturing for nothing.

Now all Brady has to do is meet with Goodell, admit wrongdoing, and his suspension will probably get cut in half.

Quote:Now all Brady has to do is meet with Goodell, admit wrongdoing, and his suspension will probably get cut in half. Yeah, I have a feeling Kraft agreed to what was sanctioned against the team to cut Brady a deal. It will be interesting.
I think it is more probable then not, that Brady's suspension gets cut down to 2 games from 4, especially with Kraft and the Pats suddenly deciding not to appeal the teams' sanctions.
I survived the Gus Bradley Error.

What was supposed to be a regional game will get a lot more media attention. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

They have now tacitly admitted that they cheated. I'm good with that.
I'm torn regarding the Brady suspension cut in half. I love to get Brady in week three and just unleash on him! On the other hand, I think Brady deserves at least 4 games. The fact is that he cheated and should be punished harshly, in my opinion. I hope goodell stands his ground. And for jj, I suppose Hernandez is also innocent since there was no video, huh? Lol |
