Quote:There are a host of reasons some folks don't have Twitter.

Some of us seasoned individuals do not see value (or we are afraid of the future;-)

I know of folks that live under "Social Media Exclusions" as a continued employment requirement.

Different strokes.

I'm okay with Social Media for this type of fan stuff.  What bugs me is people who are allowing algorithms to dictate the type of news they see on their newsfeed.  But I guess really the information explosion solves some problems with lack of access.  The media gatekeeper role is the downside of waiting for the traditional news.  Different strokes for different folks.  I can definitely see the value in it overall.  Just not for me (get off my lawn).

Quote:You can't get that point through to some folks.  Injuries happen, even in non-contact drills.  Heck, if you think about ACL injuries in particular, many times it had absolutely nothing to do with contact.  We've seen that first-hand with Tony Boselli and with Fowler.  Teams can do a lot of things to mitigate the risk, but at some point you have to put guys on the field, and any time you do, there's a chance someone is going to get hurt.

i just dont understand why they would have a former first round pick participating in OTAs..... if he was a 6th or 7th maybe..... definitely if he was undrafted.

Rookie's have a lot to learn in the NFL. If an opportunity to learn presents itself, such as the OTA practices, you have to take advantage of it.

Injuries happen. ACL's are FREAK injuries that nobody can predict. They can happen during games, during seemingly meaningless May practices, or while getting out of your bed in the morning. It sucks, but that doesn't mean strip away an opportunity to learn.

Quote:I have no problem with the return of a blackout. I think with "open" camps you can overdo it. I think the fan base is ready for progress instead of a daily invitation to the workings of the sausage making. I think we had to have that type of access the last few years because the product on the field was bad.

What?

Interesting take but how is any of this based in anything that isn't purely speculative?

I don't think so.  We got a good look at him last year.  He'll be a solid producer for the team.  If he can get over the drops, he might even prove to be an absolute steal.

Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

You play the undrafted like they are rented mules.

Good to hear.

I look forward to Cyp and Telvin making the next big step. Lord knows this defense could use some real game changers at the 2nd and 3rd levels. I love Colvin's versatility and it'll only help the backfield that much more. I'm doing my best to temper my expectations on Yeldon but its hard not to get excited when his name seems to come up on an almost daily basis. Hopefully that'll carry forward when the pads go on.

I was also listening to 1010 earlier today and they seemed to be impressed with Bortles offseason development.

I hope Bortles exceeds my expectations for his second season. I'm going to be disappointed if it's not significant improvement
