UAB Shutting Down Football Program

Quote:That's great news. A kid we had two years ago signed a scholarship and he was still unsure as to what he was going to do. I have to check in on him and see what he's doing. The Tide can stick it where the sun don't shine. The biggest issue is they've lost over 50 players already. Their coach is still under contract. But it will be hard to recover from a self imposed death penalty. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Build a whole new program from the ground up.

Im glad they are bringing the program back, but how on God's earth were they able to raise over 20 million in 6 months?

Quote:Sounds like a lot of fun to me Without knowing specifics, my guess is they will load up on graduate transfers that can play right away or guys maybe that get released from larger SEC schools. Otherwise it will be a slow build.

I am sure the NCAA wouldn't allow that though, even given the circumstances.
