1. Matt Stafford
He had 1 great year but has been an above average player for the rest of his career. Take away Calvin Johnson and he'll turn into a pick machine. 2. Tannehill No way he's an elite QB. Above average is his ceiling. He'll need a lot of help to vault the Dolphins past 8-8. Unfortunately based on their cap situation that help is unlikely to come. 3. Demarco Murray I'll be the first to admit that I wanted him here. But not for 42 million dollars. I'm glad Caldwell stuck to his guns. He got paid for basically one year of production behind the league's most talented line. After 400+ touches I would love to see him prove me wrong and ball out this season but the odds are against him.

Quote:1. Matt Stafford i wanted to put demarco but i was thinking if he stays healthy, then i dont think he is overrated. injury concerns throughout his career taken into consideration and if they dont go away, then yeah, i agree.

Quote:How can you list Clowney when he hasn't even played any significant snaps? thats precisely why. since he has been drafted, all people have done is talk about how amazing the texans defense is going to be with him and watt. clowney hasnt been able to prove anything yet and people still talk about how dangerous it will be when he and watt are on the field at the same time. based on what? thats pretty much the definition of overrated.

Two of the players that Achilles mentioned ( Matt Kalil and Mike Wallace are on my list. ). Kalil played with a bad knee in 2014, hence I'm not going to put him at the top of the list.
The player that I would put at the top of my list is Andy Dalton. If the Bengals had noticeably better QB play, they would been at or near the top of the AFC consistently in recent seasons. I can't think of an AFC Roster that's better, minus the QB position. Quote:1. Matt Stafford In 2014, Calvin Johnson was out for 3 full games and severely limited in two others. The Lions went 4-1 in those games. The Matthew Stafford of old wasn't able to compensate for the loss of Calvin Johnson. In 2014 though, Stafford had his lowest interception total in a full season of his career. Stafford didn't put up the big numbers that he did in some other seasons but for the most part he eliminated the mistakes that enabled the team to finish 11-5. Quote:dalton needs to have a really good year this upcoming season. Absolutely. I wish Andy Dalton well. But there's a good chance that the Bengals don't have a QB on their roster that can get them over the top. Considering how difficult it is to maintain a roster in the salary cap era, the Bengals window of opportunity with their current core could easily be gone by the time they have a better QB option in place.

So many times last year the media was googling over him, and I never understood why. He has a weak arm, and he reminds me of a better Henne. ![]()
Colin Kaepernick, I also want to say Odell Beckham not because he is over rated just because I've never seen this type of media attention around a guy after his first season, and now on madden cover. Do it for more than a season and will talk!

Do it for more than a season and will talk! Even with Odell Beckman Jr's vast talent and rookie production, I think Beckham ended up on the Madden Cover because of the exposure he gets playing in the NY Metropolitan Area. If Beckham was playing in Kansas City, I don't think he would have landed on the Madden Cover this soon. If Michael Strahan would have played his entire career with the Chiefs instead of the Giants with similar results, I doubt Strahan would be on at least 3 National TV programs. He would be fortunate to be on even one National TV program. |
