Great QB, Great Man, and Great all around guy. It was a sad day when he died. One of the most underrated QB's IMO. Even though it was a serious pain to watch him tear our  defense apart. I still remember that play in the 99 AFC championship, where he avoided a sack and ended up running the ball himself and taking the ball right down to the 1 yard line.

Okay everyone, let me clear some things up as to why I posted this topic.

 

1) It's Tennessee Week, and what better way to have Tennessee week than having a thread about one of the Jaguars biggest enemies.

 

2) I feel that McNair was an underrated player and deserves more recognition.

 

 

I just want to say that some of the people on here have absolutely no class, or respect by calling out a dead guy and insulting him for cheating on his wife. Was it the right thing for McNair to do? no. But that still doesn't mean that he deserved to die the way he did. Should we stop calling Junior Seau a great player just because he killed himself? Exactly, you people make me sick.

 

 

I'm done talking with you people. A mod should just come and close this thread.

It is sad that his life was ended early and he left behind four kids.

 

But he put himself in that situation. He was killed by his mistress in an apartment he rented for her.

Wait a minute - am I missing something? Aren't you the one who called McNair a great man? If you had originally simply said he's an underrated player and deserves more recognition, no one would have a problem.

The worst ever? Far from it. But what he did to his wife (and thus his kids) was very bad. And to top it off he picks a mistress who makes his wife a widow and his kids have no father.

While it may not be appropriate to speak ill of the dead, you shouldn't lie either. Also, there is a difference between calling someone a great player and calling them a great man. Also, suicide is very different from being killed by your mistress and leaving behind a widow and fatherless children because you wanted to get some on the side.
