At least we can agree that the Beatles are awesome.
We will get the #1 pick though.

Quote:...Are you aware of who we are, Doctor? At least your Buccaneers have won a Super Bowl. We're the only Florida team to not have. Our best season was a 1999 run where we were ruined by our divisional rival (and they got there by a ridiculous play that should never have happened in a million years) and then got taken into Salary Cap Hell. Oh yes! We may have started out fine. Made the AFC Championship game in just our second year. But even then our team did not have an ounce of respect. Not an ounce, Beatles. So while your team was terrible in it's first two years and didn't get respect, our team was good and didn't get it. You want to complain about Glennon's YPA? In Gabbert's first year it was a full yard behind Glennon's YPA. And that's our Quarterback. The one we picked in the Top 10 -- that we traded a 2nd to move up for. The one who was supposed to be our answer to our Quarterback woes. In the same year David Garrard was released due to injury and we were left with Luke The Clown (you may know him from his days in Tampa). Meaning that we've always been taking Florida Reject Quarterbacks... and Blaine Freakin' Gabbert. (Since Henne was released from miami) Since the Brunell era (which was several years ago) we've gone from Leftwich to Garrard to McCown to Gabbert to Henne. It's been a merry-go-round of the can't-cut-it-crew. And for all your blackouts... for all your attendance issues, you don't have to deal with other people telling you your team should SIGN TEBOW! No, that's reserved for the Jaguars. People joke about us because we have tarps in our stadium. Because we can't fill it up. When people say that a team has no fans, they refer more to the Jaguars than they do the Buccaneers. You guys at least have a defense that can keep you in games. You aren't getting blown out by 10 points every week. You can handle another year of Glennon to get a franchise Quarterback. In the meantime Clowney will boost your defense. And who knows? Maybe Glennon will improve. I wouldn't count on it at this point, but he isn't worse than Henne and Gabbert. Glennon's YPA has at least been improving. At least he isn't struggling to get 200 yards per game like Blaine Gabbert was. Clowney will be a fine consolation prize for your team. You can then get Winston or whatever other QB comes out next year and you'll probably rise high. But this team can't take another year of Gabbert/Henne. This team needs Bridgewater. We're constantly getting blown out. We have no offense, no defense, the only thing we have is a punter.

First of all, I feel this thread has been very positive even though we are directly competing with each other. It's always good to see this and I think we find common ground a lot faster when we remember we are all Floridians and fans of teams that deserve what's coming to them. I've gotten likes on near every one of my posts, had comments such as "The Beatles are awesome" and "I'm really starting to like Beatles." - On a rival forum! That is rather amazing to me, especially when I originally was going to just troll you guys, but you were such good sports and now look where we have come to. Very cool.
Now, I'd like to retort Doc by saying we in fact DID have a few of us who were calling for Tebow, and it was nauseating, let me tell you. As for Glennon, most don't see him as the answer going forward. He starts to look good and then he'll dunk off a pass for a loss. Plus, he has ZERO clutch in him. We are tired of the mediocre and we don't want to "Shame us For Jamies" Next year. We have talent on the roster and we have a 16-mil CB that isn't going to be patient forever. We need to win now! Realistically, #2 won't be a bad spot. If you get Teddy, we get Johnny "BY GAWD" Football, which is who I personally want. Most of us WERE also warming up to Mariota or Hundley if not those two i mentioned first. After the Oregon loss though...Mariota may have hurt his stock.
Beatles, you get the credit for making this a positive thread. Most fans of other teams don't make us very happy - for example, a Bills fan said Paul Posluszny is not a good MLB. I hope you keep coming here the rest of the season.
Being #2 is not bad if you would rather have Manziel than Bridgewater, but for all Bridgewater fans in Tampa, that would be nervewracking.
Bridgewatter Just doesn't thrill me in QUITE the way Manziel does. His frame worries me.
You can have Manziel all you want. Or Mariota for that matter. We just want Bridgewater.
Also for the record, a few people may have called for the Buccs to sign Tebow, but nowhere near as bad as it was for us. We had Chuck Norris saying we should sign Tebow. Chuck Freaking Norris. These weren't just our fans, but fans of other teams. And we are the number one spot mentioned for Tebow. Such to the point our new GM had to say "Even if he's released!" when the media in Jacksonville asked. There was even a rally with all 5 remaining Tebowites trying to get us to sign him. Someone put an ad on the radio. Apparently they have 11 commandments now. After thou shalt not kill, it's Thou Jaguars Shalt Signest Timmeus Tebow Thankfully Caldwell isn't member of the Church of Latter Day Tebowites. We are tired of being the joke of the league. Blaine Gabbert and Chad Henne are blights upon our team. Neither should ever be named a starting Quarterback by any team lest they be infused with talent by the football gods themselves. Our passing game is so abysmal that Nick Foles passed for more TD's in one game than we have in 8 games. The Oakland Raiders, who are 2nd last in Passing TD's, almost has double what we have. Meanwhile we are 4th in most interceptions, behind just the Jets, Cardinals, and Giants. All of whom have twice the number of Touchdowns we have. Or better. All season we have yet to pass for multiple touchdowns in a game.

Doctor, FYI Marcus Mariota jumped over Teddy Bridgewater for the #1 pick. I was surprised because I read he was bad at Stanford.

I heard that ad John Morgan of Morgan & Morgan made.
Serious question...could he be worse than Gabbert? Quote:I heard that ad John Morgan of Morgan & Morgan made. Wrong question. The point was to find out what they had in Gabbert. I think they now know. Tebow would have just been in the way.

Quote:I heard that ad John Morgan of Morgan & Morgan made. Serious question... should we settle than 'better than Gabbert'? Let's phrase it this way... would you settle for Glennon? Quote:The Sporting News Well then, that settles that I guess. The Sporting News clearly knows what Dave Caldwell will do months before he does.

Quote:Serious question: Should we settle for 'better than Gabbert'? We are not settling for "better than Gabbert." To do that would mean not drafting a quarterback because Chad Henne is better than Blaine Gabbert. TSN never said anything about the Jaguars. It is only saying whoever will get the #1 pick, it is most likely that team will select Marcus Mariota. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

Longest current playoff droughts in the NFL
Buffalo Bills 1999 AFC Wild Card Playoffs 13 years Oakland Raiders 2002 Super Bowl XXXVII 10 Cleveland Browns 2002 AFC Wild Card Playoffs 10 St. Louis Rams 2004 NFC Divisional Playoffs 8 Jacksonville Jaguars† 2007 AFC Divisional Playoffs 5 Tampa Bay Buccaneers 2007 NFC Wild Card Playoffs 5 NFL teams that have never appeared in a Super Bowl Lions Browns Jaguars Texans 14 of the 32 NFL teams have never won a Super Bowl Bills Browns Bengals Titans Texans Jaguars Chargers Eagles Vikings Lions Panthers Falcons Seahawks Cardinals
Quote:TSN never said anything about the Jaguars. It is only saying whoever will get the #1 pick, it is most likely that team will select Marcus Mariota. And they're the be all end all of draft news? Most current mock drafts have Teddy Bridgewater being selected. There's not really even that great of a chance that Mariota declares. Doesn't seem like a very reliable source to me. Quote:yeah but I'd rather have Tebow as my No. 2 than Chad. Tebow is a distraction. Look at what he did to that Jets team. Do you really want Tebow behind your rookie QB with a few of his nutcases calling for him to start no matter how well your rookie is playing?
